Location: South Africa – Fully Remote
Working Hours: UK working hours – approximately 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM UK time
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: R25,000 – R30,000 per month
Bonus: Monthly performance-based bonus linked to successful candidate placements
Role Type: 180-Degree Recruitment / Resourcing
About the Company
We are a small, specialist recruitment business operating remotely, with approximately 80% of our work focused on the employability sector. We recruit specialist Employment Advisors and related professionals for charities and organisations supporting vulnerable individuals, including people with criminal backgrounds, young people and individuals experiencing mental health challenges, helping them to return to employment. Due to continued growth and increasing recruitment volumes, we are looking for a Recruitment Resourcer to join the team and provide additional capacity across candidate sourcing, screening and pipeline management. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruitment professional who enjoys the candidate side of recruitment, is highly organised, confident on the phone and motivated by achieving measurable results.
The Role
This is a 180-degree Recruitment Resourcer role, focused specifically on identifying, engaging, screening and progressing candidates through the recruitment process. The successful candidate will not be responsible for business development or winning new clients. Instead, your focus will be on building and managing strong candidate pipelines and supporting the recruitment team by ensuring that suitable candidates are identified and effectively screened. The role will involve a high level of candidate interaction through telephone, email and text, as well as reviewing incoming applications and proactively approaching suitable candidates. You will work closely with the wider recruitment team and will be expected to take ownership of your candidate activity, manage your own workload and consistently work towards agreed
performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Resourcing
● Review and assess incoming candidate applications against job requirements.
● Proactively source suitable candidates using available recruitment platforms and databases.
● Identify candidates through targeted searches and candidate database research.
● Conduct proactive candidate outreach via telephone, email and text.
● Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for current and future vacancies.
● Identify candidates who may not have applied directly but are potentially suitable for available opportunities.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the recruitment CRM.
● Ensure candidates are contacted and followed up with promptly.
Candidate Screening
● Conduct initial telephone screening conversations with candidates.
● Assess candidates against role requirements, experience, motivation and suitability.
● Ask relevant questions to establish candidate suitability and availability.
● Identify potential concerns or gaps in a candidate's experience.
● Have honest and professional conversations with candidates where they may not be suitable for a particular opportunity.
● Be comfortable challenging candidates and pushing back when necessary, rather than progressing unsuitable applicants.
● Provide clear and accurate candidate information to the recruitment team.
Candidate Management
● Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
● Manage candidate expectations around roles, interviews and suitability.
● Ensure candidates are properly prepared before progressing to the next stage.
● Follow up with candidates consistently and professionally.
● Develop positive candidate relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
● Ensure candidate information and activity is accurately recorded in the CRM.
Recruitment Administration
● Accurately update candidate records and recruitment activity.
● Use the recruitment CRM and associated sourcing tools effectively.
● Monitor candidate pipelines and ensure there are no unnecessary delays.
● Track candidate activity and recruitment outcomes.
● Support the wider recruitment team with general resourcing and candidate administration.
● Maintain a high level of accuracy when recording candidate information.
Technology & Systems
The recruitment team currently uses:
● Bullhorn – CRM and recruitment database
● SourceBreaker – candidate sourcing technology
● CloudCall – telephony and candidate communication
● CV-Library
● Reed
● TotalJobs
● Indeed
Previous experience with these systems would be advantageous, but is not essential. Strong general IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly are important.

The ideal candidate will be someone who:
● Has previous recruitment/resourcing experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.

● Has strong candidate sourcing and screening abilities.
● Is confident communicating with candidates and having difficult or honest conversations.
● Is able to challenge candidates professionally when they are not suitable.
● Can work towards measurable performance targets.
● Is resilient and able to handle rejection and challenging conversations.
● Has a genuine growth mindset and is open to feedback.
● Is self-reflective and willing to identify and correct their own mistakes.
● Takes responsibility for their own performance and activity levels.
● Is highly organised and able to manage multiple candidates and vacancies simultaneously.
● Has strong IT skills and is comfortable working with recruitment technology.
● Can work independently without being micromanaged.

● High levels of resilience and professionalism.
● Strong IT ability.
● A willingness to learn recruitment.
● The ability to work towards targets.
● A stable employment history and commitment to developing within the role.

The company particularly values people who are self-motivated and disciplined when working remotely.
Growth Mindset & Development
A strong growth mindset is one of the most important characteristics for this position. The successful candidate should be comfortable receiving constructive feedback and actively looking for ways to improve their performance.
You should be able to:
● Reflect honestly on your own performance.
● Recognise mistakes and learn from them.
● Respond positively to constructive feedback.
● Adapt your approach when something is not working.
● Take ownership of your professional development.
● Continuously look for ways to improve your communication and recruitment techniques.
Remote Working Requirements
This is a fully remote position, and candidates must be based in South Africa. Because the role involves extensive telephone and video communication, reliable home internet is essential.
The successful candidate must have:
● A reliable and stable internet connection.
● The ability to work effectively from a home environment.
● A suitable professional workspace.
● Strong general IT skills.
● The ability to use VoIP systems reliably.
● Previous remote-working experience would be advantageous.
Candidates will be required to complete an internet speed test and may be required to complete a VoIP/technical connectivity test as part of the recruitment process.
Working Hours & Benefits
● Fully remote working.
● South Africa-based position.
● UK working hours.
● Approximately 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM UK time.
● 25 days annual leave, plus your birthday off.
● Competitive salary of R25,000 – R30,000 per month.
● Additional monthly performance-based bonus.
● Supportive environment with a strong focus on personal development and continuous improvement.
Recruitment Process
The recruitment process will consist of:
1. Initial interview
2. Video interview / assessment
3. Technical role-play assessment
The role-play assessment will be approximately 30–40 minutes and will be designed to assess how candidates handle difficult conversations, challenge candidates appropriately and communicate when they need to push back on a candidate's suitability.
Candidates will also be asked questions around:
● How they have identified and corrected a mistake.
● How they organise themselves and manage pressure.
● How comfortable they are having difficult or honest conversations with candidates.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will mean consistently building strong candidate pipelines, maintaining high levels of candidate activity and providing the recruitment team with quality, well-screened candidates.
The successful person will demonstrate:
● Consistent sourcing and candidate outreach activity.
● High-quality candidate screening.
● Strong candidate communication.
● Accurate CRM administration.
● Reliable follow-up.
● The ability to meet agreed performance expectations.
● Resilience and consistency.
● A proactive approach to improving their own performance.
● A willingness to receive and act on feedback.
● The ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
Important Note
This is not a traditional 360 Recruitment Consultant position. There is no requirement to generate new business or manage client acquisition. The primary focus is candidate sourcing, screening, engagement and pipeline management. There may be an opportunity for the role to develop into additional account-management responsibilities in the future, but the immediate priority is to strengthen the candidate resourcing function.
