Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment & Customer Success Intern to support our growing Recruitment Operations team.

This is primarily a recruitment-focused role. You will support the end-to-end recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, recruitment administration, and database management.

You will also support UrehGab's candidate and client success activities by helping us track placements, conduct post-placement check-ins, collect feedback, and ensure candidates and clients receive a professional experience throughout the hiring journey.

The role is ideal for someone looking to build practical experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, candidate management, and client success.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Sourcing

  • Support the Recruitment Operations Lead in managing assigned vacancies from sourcing through placement.

  • Source suitable candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, professional communities, referrals, social media, and UrehGab's existing talent database.

  • Conduct targeted candidate searches based on job requirements and hiring criteria.

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated vacancies.

  • Review CVs and applications against role requirements.

  • Conduct initial candidate screening and qualification.

  • Support telephone and virtual screening interviews where required.

  • Assess candidates for experience, skills, salary expectations, availability, location, and general suitability.

  • Prepare candidate profiles and screening notes for review by the Recruitment Operations Lead.

  • Maintain accurate records of candidates at every stage of the recruitment process.

  • Support recruitment across different functions, industries, and seniority levels.

  • Conduct market and talent research for difficult-to-fill positions.

  • Identify potential passive candidates and support outreach activities.

  • Maintain candidate pools for frequently recruited positions.

Candidate Management & Experience

  • Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.

  • Send interview invitations, reminders, assessments, and relevant instructions.

  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.

  • Follow up with candidates after interviews and update recruitment records accordingly.

  • Ensure candidates receive timely updates regarding their applications.

  • Track candidate availability, notice periods, salary expectations, and offer status.

  • Support reference and background-check coordination where required.

  • Assist with offer-stage communication and candidate onboarding coordination.

  • Maintain a professional candidate experience regardless of the outcome of an application.

Recruitment Operations

  • Update UrehGab's recruitment tracker/ATS and candidate database daily.

  • Maintain accurate records of sourcing, screening, submissions, interviews, offers, placements, and candidate outcomes.

  • Prepare weekly recruitment pipeline reports.

  • Monitor recruitment timelines and flag delays or bottlenecks to the Recruitment Operations Lead.

  • Support the preparation of candidate shortlists for clients.

  • Organize CVs, interview notes, assessments, and other recruitment documentation.

  • Support the development and maintenance of recruitment templates, candidate databases, interview guides, and talent pools.

  • Assist with recruitment projects, volume hiring, graduate recruitment, and other client assignments as required.

  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate and client information.

Placement & Customer Success Support

  • Maintain UrehGab's Placement Success Tracker for successfully hired candidates.

  • Schedule and conduct candidate check-ins at agreed intervals, including 14, 30, 60, and 90 days after resumption.

  • Send hiring-manager performance feedback surveys at appropriate milestones.

  • Track candidate retention and identify early signs of disengagement or potential attrition.

  • Escalate candidate concerns, performance concerns, or placement risks to the Recruitment Operations Lead.

  • Maintain records of client and candidate feedback.

  • Support the collection of testimonials and placement success stories.

  • Assist with client satisfaction surveys and follow-up activities.

  • Help ensure that UrehGab maintains relationships with candidates and clients beyond the placement stage.

Key Performance Indicators

Performance will be measured across areas including:

  • Quality and relevance of candidates sourced

  • Number of qualified candidates sourced and screened

  • Turnaround time on assigned vacancies

  • Accuracy of recruitment records

  • Candidate response and engagement rates

  • Interview coordination accuracy

  • Candidate experience and communication

  • Completion of assigned 14/30/60/90-day placement check-ins

  • Accuracy of placement and retention tracking

  • Timeliness of weekly recruitment reports

  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, HND, or currently completing/recently completed NYSC.

  • Strong interest in recruitment, HR, talent acquisition, or people operations.

  • Good research and online sourcing skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable speaking with candidates professionally.

  • Good organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and vacancies simultaneously.

  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, and online recruitment tools.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Reliable laptop and internet connection.

  • Willingness to learn quickly and receive feedback.

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Previous recruitment or HR internship experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
