We are searching for a Pricing Strategy Analyst for a leading media and entertainment organization delivering innovative television and streaming experiences to millions of customers nationwide. Our Strategy organization works across Product, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Analytics to develop pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies that drive subscriber growth, maximize profitability, and strengthen our competitive position.

This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, financial analysis, data analytics, and emerging AI technologies, helping leadership make smarter, faster, and more informed decisions through data-driven insights and business cases.

Position Summary

The Pricing Strategy Analyst will play a key role in developing pricing strategies, evaluating new business opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making across a growing portfolio of products and services.

This position combines business strategy, financial modeling, data analysis, pricing analytics, and AI-enabled productivity to identify opportunities that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, profitability, and long-term enterprise value.

 

The ideal candidate is highly analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to move comfortably between building financial models, analyzing large datasets, developing executive presentations, and translating complex findings into clear business recommendations.

You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Product, Operations, and Sales to evaluate pricing opportunities, optimize offers, measure performance, and develop recommendations that support business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic business cases for new products, pricing initiatives, promotional offers, customer acquisition strategies, and other commercial opportunities.
  • Build financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to evaluate market opportunities, estimate financial impact, and assess ROI.
  • Analyze pricing performance, promotional effectiveness, customer behavior, competitive positioning, and revenue trends across products and customer segments.
  • Evaluate pricing elasticity, customer segmentation, acquisition trends, retention, and promotional response to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Support pricing tests, experiments, and optimization initiatives, including test design, measurement frameworks, performance analysis, and post-launch recommendations.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Analytics, and Operations teams to define business requirements and evaluate strategic initiatives.
  • Use SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and existing reporting tools to extract, analyze, visualize, and communicate business performance data.
  • Develop dashboards, recurring reporting, and performance views that track key pricing, revenue, margin, customer, and acquisition metrics.
  • Create executive-ready presentations that translate complex analysis into clear insights, recommendations, and business implications.
  • Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and similar technologies to accelerate research, analysis, reporting, content development, and other business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive analytical and reporting processes and improve overall team productivity.
  • Conduct market, competitive, and business research to support strategic planning and pricing decisions.
  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve analytical methodologies, reporting processes, and strategic decision-making capabilities.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in pricing, strategy, business analysis, consulting, financial analysis, product strategy, revenue management, or analytics.
  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, forecasts, and executive-level presentations.
  • Experience supporting pricing, product, customer acquisition, commercial, or growth strategy initiatives.
  • Experience analyzing business performance and translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within a fast-paced, data-driven organization.

Required Skills

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect analytical findings to strategic and financial outcomes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and data manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for executive audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis, automation, or modeling.
  • Experience developing dashboards and executive reporting in Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Experience with pricing experimentation, elasticity analysis, customer segmentation, promotional analysis, revenue optimization, or pricing analytics.
  • Experience in subscription, media, telecommunications, technology, consumer services, or other recurring-revenue businesses.
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, statistical analysis, or performance measurement.
  • Experience leveraging AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies to improve analysis, forecasting, reporting, pricing optimization, or business processes.

The Pricing Strategy Analyst will help the organization understand what is driving customer and financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, build compelling business cases, and provide leadership with clear, actionable recommendations.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, financial acumen, analytical expertise, and emerging AI capabilities to help the business make better pricing and commercial decisions.
