We are a women-owned family law firm with over 20 years of experience. We are rapidly growing our team of mostly women mothers and military spouses. We practice family law the "right" way- with care and compassion for our clients and the well-being of our team. We are not an "all you can bill" firm but rather focus on quality and accuracy. This is a mostly remote position and requires a maximum of 1-3 times per month at the office. We would consider a fully remote position but would prefer a candidate located on the Colorado front range. Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week Benefits: • Health insurance • Paid sick time • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Work from home Schedule: • Monday to Friday • Average 6-hour shifts Responsibilities: • Assist attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and adoption • Meet with clients to assist with preparation of financial disclosures (mostly phone or zoom) • Attend weekly team meeting (zoom) • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and affidavits • Gather financial information and prepare sworn financial statements and certificate of compliance • Maintain and organize client files and documents • Schedule appointments, coordinate mediation, status conferences and manage attorney calendars • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel via phone, email, and in-person meetings • Prepare for hearings, trials, and other court proceedings • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists Qualifications: • Interpersonal skills include being a caring human being who works well with a team of caring human beings • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal in a family law practice • Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, including file management and data entry • Knowledge and comfort level with CRM's, uploading documents, converting document to PDF, labeling PDF's, online communication and case management • Strong knowledge of family law procedures and regulations • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly
