Role Overview

The Operations Coordinator (Remote) will be reporting directly to the National Operations Manager, to support the Service Team Leaders and the RBM’s to ensure Rota management, compliance and consistency across the Service function.

 

This is a remote-based role in the U.K. that will involve working on a 3223-shift pattern basis to allow for cover across the Service business remotely with occasional travel required. 

 

The salary range for this position is €24,454 - €33,473 EUR per year. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

You Will

Effective Rota management:

  • Ensure the effective scheduling of team regional Rota’s, communicating them at least six weeks in advance.
  • Proactively manage cover for absence to maintain Service continuity with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Submit variances to payroll via the payroll variance app for each region as required to meet payroll deadlines.

Relationship management: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Service team managers and specialists to foster collaboration, effective communication, and alignment with operational goals for flask optimisation and health and safety.
  • Including attending service team meetings. 

Associate and Independent Management:

  • Work with National Operations Manager, RBMs and Service team managers to build and maintain National Associate Network for all regions to pull from as and when cover is required.  
  • Liaise with Finance re commissions, Invoicing for consumables, Initial set-ups and contract generation, billing for cover days Genus provide.

Absence management:

  • Recording and managing sickness and holiday cover to ensure routes are covered and Service is not affected, ensuring any issues or non-compliance is raised with the National Operations Manager.
  • Work with Service tram managers to understand regional areas and maintain list of contacts in the event cover is required for sickness.

Health & Safety:

  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety team and Team Leaders to report and investigate incidents, ensuring the continued safety of the team on farms and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Use data to analyse and proactively track trends and provide solutions for H&S to ensure we meet legal UK compliance and company goals. (All admin around accidents).

Reporting:

  • Provide data and reports for H&S and flask fertility and performance to monitor KPIs, breaches and recommend any remedial action – Capture in a monthly report to cover - Driving & working hour compliance, Lightfoot scores, Drivers not connected to Lightfoot, Monitor lone worker device usage, clocking in / out, cover day usage, conception rates – to be shared to Service team managers, National Operations Manager, HRBP & RBMs.  
  • Share RMS reports to customers. Build and put together reporting for customers, working closely with team leaders and RBMs to build on template and create reports.
  • Circulate reports to relevant employees post visit. 

Advocacy and Change Leadership:

  • Leads by example through consistent, values-driven behaviour, acting as a visible advocate for positive change and fostering a culture of accountability and improvement.

RAFs:

  • Work with Service team managers and HRBP to submit and track RAFs through the RAF process. 

Geo-fencing:

  • Geo-fence new areas and maintain existing areas as and when required.

Requirements

  • Travel within the UK may be required on occasion.
  • Relevant qualification in an agricultural, animal science, or related discipline is desirable. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • Full UK driving license preferred.
  • Previous experience dealing with shift patterns and rotas.
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships across different areas of business.
  • Knowledge of bovine genetics, farming desirable. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Effective time management and ability to manage a busy schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
