ROLE PURPOSE
The National account manager Italy will be responsible for creating, developing and maintaining ongoing business relationships with
key Italian retailers. Operating strategically, the Italian NAM will co-ordinate marketing efforts, product launches and sales promotions
with assigned accounts to achieve sales and profit objectives. This important position will work closely with the Sales Director, Italy
to deliver the wider Global strategic vision.

JOB TITLE: NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER, ITALY
- Lead by example, embedding Funko's values and behaviours in all that we do including decision-making, leadership, and creating an environment in which everyone can strive to do their best work.
- You will Manage a portfolio of key retailers within Italy, spread across all retail channels.
- Hold full responsibility and meet assigned revenue targets across your portfolio, building account plans and implementing appropriate gap planning where relevant.
- Forecasting responsibility to ensure appropriate inventory levels and recurring monthly revenue achievement
- Build outstanding relationships with Senior buyers in key categories of which Funko trades within (Toys, Culture, Softlines)
- Identify and champion continuous improvement in assigned customer portfolio including accelerating new business opportunities.
- Negotiate appropriate commercial trading terms with account base on a yearly basis, following EMEA investment parameters
- Be proficient in using Funko POS data to actively drive growth opportunities within your portfolio.
- Coordinate with Marketing team on retail level-based activities
- Support national events and trade shows as required within the region
- Participate in ongoing training to learn about new and existing product lines and improve sales techniques
- Secure strategic sales promotion activity/features within defined budget criteria.
- Ensure the execution of all commercial strategies to achieve the sales plan, as well as supporting the wider sales team when required
- Work collaboratively with the Sales Director, Italy, and cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service and Product, to ensure account plans are aligned and executed effectively.
- The National Account Manager will act as the key link between assigned retailers and internal stakeholders, sharing timely customer insights, forecasts, promotional plans and commercial updates.
- They will proactively communicate risks and opportunities, coordinate product launches and stock availability, and ensure clear ownership and follow-through on agreed actions in support of customer needs and Funko's wider commercial strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Proven National account management or other relevant experience, preferably within FMCG/ Toy/ Entertainment markets
- Fluency spoken & written in English & Italian. Other languages an advantage, but not essential.
- Proven experience in leading and facilitating strategic conversations at a senior level
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong Commercial acumen
- Highly organized and efficient time management skills
- Demonstrate consistent professionalism
- Ability to travel on a regular basis
- Experience with ERP or CRM systems preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Chat GPT
- You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to move at an extremely fast pace
- Able to work and influence cross-functionally
- A strong sales professional who has a whole array of relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
