The Manager, Talent Acquisition will manage end-to-end hiring processes, including sourcing diverse candidate pools and utilizing rigorous assessment tools. They will also collaborate with the People, Equity & Inclusion team to improve systems, support collective bargaining agreement implementation, and manage strategic staffing projects.
We are looking for a collaborative Manager, Talent Acquisition to join our People, Equity & Inclusion team here at Common Cause, to support the continued growth of our organization. As our Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will build strong pools of candidates and develop selection tools to run rigorous and efficient hiring processes to fill our open roles. You will also manage operations for our talent acquisition work to help us build stronger systems and processes, and you’ll collaborate with members of our team and other staff to maintain strategic connections between our work and other priorities on our team.
This is a full-time, temporary role starting on November 1, 2026 and ending on April 30, 2027 (with the potential to extend this role longer). This role reports to the Senior Director, Talent Management and is remote anywhere within the lower 48 United States. We hope our new Manager, Talent Acquisition will start in October.

A commitment to equity in the goals of your work and in how you work with others
A track record of working collaboratively with others, with the ability to build rapport, trust, and credibility with multiple stakeholders with diverse interests
Ability to compel action through both written and verbal communication, including distilling complex concepts for a broad audience, and to differentiate communications as needed for various audiences
Ability to manage and meet deadlines for multiple short- and long-term priorities at once, with high attention to detail; strong organization skills, and the ability to manage your time independently
Openness to feedback and awareness of your own strengths and areas for growth
Familiarity with office productivity tools including Microsoft Office and Zoom
Experience managing searches end-to-end, including sourcing and cultivating prospects, using tools to assess candidates, and managing relationships with hiring managers
Experience managing searches in an applicant tracking system; ideally, with Lever
Ability to travel 4-6 times per year for team and/or all staff retreats
Willing to have a social media presence on behalf of Common Cause, including being tagged on posts and creating content on behalf of the organization (as needed, Common Cause will provide accounts for staff members to use)
Per our nonpartisan policy, Common Cause staff members may not currently be in elected office (or running for office); on the Steering Committee or Finance Committee for any political candidate; or affiliated with the leadership of a political party
This position is classified as confidential and therefore not included in the union-represented collective bargaining unit
