Are you a detail-oriented professional with a sharp eye for quality and a talent for improving learning content and processes? Do you thrive on building systems, identifying root causes, and raising the bar on quality, efficiency, and performance?  

We're looking for a L&D Quality Lead responsible for quality assurance across all learning content, internally developed and vendor-produced alike. This senior individual contributor role establishes quality standards, owns the quality scorecard, manages external production partners, and owns key operating procedures that ensure nothing publishes below our standard. You'll assess vendor work against our standards and industry best practices, and drive initiatives that improve the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of Learning Solutions. 

The successful candidate combines strong project management, analytical, and process improvement skills with a commitment to operational excellence. Working closely with Learning Solutions leaders, delivery teams, vendors, and cross-functional key players, identify trends, solve problems, strengthen quality practices, and implement scalable solutions that support business goals. 

Key Responsibilities 

  •  Serve as the quality assurance lead for Learning Solutions content, ensuring deliverables align with McLean & Company research standards, instructional design principles, accessibility requirements, and member expectations before release. 
  •  Lead content quality alignment sessions to ensure consistent application of quality standards, evaluation criteria, scoring, and feedback practices across reviewers. 
  •  Develop, maintain, and continuously improve quality standards, scorecards, and governance frameworks. 
  •  Analyze quality data to identify trends and risks and provide leaders with actionable insights and recommendations. 
  •  Identify process gaps and implement sustainable solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, scalability, and member experience. 

  Outsourcing & Vendor Management  

  •  Scope outsourced projects, establish expectations, and ensure work is delivered according to agreed timelines, quality standards, and objectives. 
  •  Manage external vendors and outsourcing partners responsible for content development, maintenance, and production support activities. 
  •  Coordinate reviews and provide partners with consolidated feedback to support quality and performance. 
  •  Monitor partner performance and maintain relationships that strengthen capacity, reliability, quality, and delivery outcomes. 
  •  Analyze vendor performance data and recommend improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and partner effectiveness.  

Essential Skills & Education  

  •  Degree or diploma in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Project Management, QA or Operations Management, or a related field.  
  •  8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Quality Assurance, Content Production, or a related discipline.  
  •  Experience reviewing and quality-assuring L&D content against established standards, scorecards, rubrics, or evaluation frameworks.  
  •  Experience managing external vendors, agencies, outsourcing partners, or third-party service providers, including project scoping, expectations, timelines, quality standards, and delivery accountability.  
  •  Experience developing and improving quality standards, governance frameworks, operating procedures, workflows, processes, and performance measurement practices.  
  •  Experience developing and maintaining scorecards, key performance metrics, reporting, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.  
  •  Familiarity with instructional design principles and evaluating content quality within a learning and development environment.  
  •  Strong analytical and critical thinking, project management, collaboration, communication, and key player management skills.  
  •  Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing work environment with complex personalities and situations 
  •  Demonstrated ability to influence, build alignment, and drive accountability without direct authority.  
  •  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. 

  Assets  

  •  Experience with Power BI or other reporting and analytics tools.  
  •  Experience within consulting, advisory, research, professional services, or membership-based organizations.  
  •  Experience in learning content development and research  
  •  Experience working with global teams, vendors, or organizations.  
  •  Relevant professional certifications in project management, quality, process improvement, analytics, and learning and development (e.g. PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CTDP, Power BI).
