Location: Remote – U.S. BasedSalary: $48,000–$52,000 per year

Project Expedition is a fast-growing travel company helping travelers discover unique tours, activities, and experiences around the world. We’re looking for a Travel Planning Specialist to join our Custom & Groups team and help create memorable travel experiences for advisors, clients, and groups.

This role is ideal for someone who loves travel, enjoys solving problems, and can take a complex request and turn it into a well-organized, thoughtful travel experience.

You’ll work with travel advisors, clients, tour operators, and international partners to design, quote, coordinate, and support custom itineraries and group programs — from private tours to multi-day leisure and corporate group experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, timely, and professional support to travel advisors and their clients
• Design customized travel itineraries and experiences based on client needs and preferences
• Work with tour operators and international partners to build custom and group programs
• Prepare personalized proposals, itineraries, and pricing quotes
• Manage requests ranging from private tours to larger multi-day group programs
• Coordinate schedules, availability, capacity, pricing, and logistics with vendors
• Keep advisors, clients, and operators informed of itinerary and schedule changes
• Help resolve unexpected issues and find solutions quickly while travelers are on the go
• Recommend creative activities and unique experiences that enhance each trip
• Assist with questions, bookings, program details, and other travel-related needs
• Maintain accurate tour content, pricing, availability, and operational information
• Track costs, penalties, agreements, deadlines, and other important program details
• Review guest feedback and share ideas that can improve future travel programs
• Manage multiple requests and priorities while keeping details organized and deadlines on track

What We’re Looking For

• 3–4 years of experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, customer service, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and requests at the same time
• Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment

Nice to Have

• Experience creating custom travel itineraries
• Experience working with group travel or group programs
• Experience with travel booking or reservation platforms
• Travel advisor, tour operator, hospitality, or destination management experience
• Knowledge of international travel destinations and experiences

Work Schedule

This is a remote, U.S.-based position with one of the following schedules:

• Tuesday–Saturday
• Sunday–Thursday

Important Remote Work Information

This position is open to candidates based in the United States. At this time, Project Expedition is unable to hire employees residing in California or New York.

Although this is a remote position, it is not designed for digital nomads. Employees must maintain a U.S. residence. Employees will have an allocation of time during which they may work remotely from other destinations.
