Junior Enterprise Data Conversion Analyst

Position Summary:

The Junior Enterprise Data Conversion Analyst supports data conversion, migration, validation, reconciliation, and stabilization activities for insurance brokerage systems, with experience or working knowledge across both Employee Benefits and Property and Casualty (P&C) brokerage data and workflows. This role assists conversion leads, business partners, technology teams, and vendors during acquisitions, agency integrations, system implementations, platform migrations, and enterprise transformation initiatives. The position helps ensure converted data is accurate, complete, usable, and aligned with operational, reporting, client-service, compliance, commission, and financial needs across brokerage business segments. This role typically reports to a data conversion lead, enterprise operations leader, integration leader, transformation leader, data leader, or technology leader and works closely with business users, implementation teams, agency stakeholders, and external vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support data conversion initiatives related to insurance brokerage system implementations, acquisitions, agency integrations, divestitures, platform migrations, and enterprise transformation programs.
  • Review, analyze, and validate Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty (P&C) brokerage data, including clients, accounts, policies, coverages, carriers, producers, commissions, billing, claims, certificates, enrollment, eligibility, census, activities, attachments, documents, and financial transactions.
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, normalization, profiling, validation, and reconciliation activities to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and readiness for migration.
  • Compare source and target system data to identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, incomplete, or incorrectly mapped records, and document remediation requirements.
  • Support data quality reviews, exception management, defect tracking, business rule validation, and issue resolution throughout the conversion lifecycle.
  • Partner with business users, agency stakeholders, operations teams, technology teams, implementation partners, and vendors to gather requirements, resolve data issues, and support conversion readiness activities.
  • Assist with mock conversions, test migrations, user acceptance testing (UAT), production cutovers, post-load validation, reconciliation, and post-conversion stabilization efforts.
  • Analyze source data from agency management systems, CRM platforms, accounting and billing systems, document repositories, carrier interfaces, and other brokerage applications.
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting, including conversion plans, data readiness trackers, mapping documents, issue logs, validation checklists, remediation trackers, test results, business sign-offs, and status updates.
  • Prepare clear summaries of conversion findings, risks, open issues, validation results, and recommendations for project leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks, data gaps, downstream impacts, and operational concerns that could affect reporting accuracy, financial integrity, compliance requirements, or client service continuity.
  • Follow established conversion methodologies, governance standards, documentation practices, and escalation procedures to ensure successful project execution and audit readiness.
  • Contribute to business continuity and user adoption by helping ensure converted data supports operational workflows, reporting needs, client servicing activities, and compliance requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance conversion processes, data quality controls, testing approaches, and documentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of insurance brokerage operations experience supporting data conversion, data migration, systems implementation, platform consolidation, agency acquisition integration, business systems support, data analysis, or related functions.
  • Experience supporting complex, cross-functional system implementation, migration, or integration initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance brokerage operations, data structures, and workflows, including client, policy, carrier, employer group, employee/subscriber, dependent, benefit plan, producer, commission, billing, certificates, claims, enrollment, eligibility, census, activities, attachments, and document data.
  • Working knowledge of Employee Benefits workflows and commercial lines and/or personal lines P&C workflows, including benefits renewals, open enrollment, eligibility management, census administration, account servicing, policy administration, endorsements, renewals, certificates, carrier submissions, claims support, producer structures, agency accounting processes, and acquisition integration activities.
  • Strong understanding of data mapping, profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, testing, validation, exception management, conversion governance, and data quality management practices.
  • Ability to review source-system data, identify inconsistencies, document remediation requirements, translate business requirements into conversion tasks, and develop validation and testing procedures.
  • Experience supporting data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), mock conversions, defect tracking, cutover readiness, post-conversion stabilization, and issue resolution activities.
  • Hands-on experience with insurance brokerage platforms and related technologies, including Applied Epic, AMS360, Vertafore products, Salesforce, benefits administration platforms, carrier portals, document management systems, commission/accounting systems, or similar solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data cleanup, filtering, lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation, exception tracking, and data analysis; experience with Smartsheet required.
  • Exposure to reporting, analytics, and data management tools such as Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, Access, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly document business rules, data issues, validation results, remediation actions, and open items.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business leaders, operations teams, IT teams, vendors, implementation partners, and end users to resolve data and system-related issues.
  • Experience working in multi-location, regional, acquisitive, or enterprise brokerage environments is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law.
