Position Overview:

The Jr. Energy Efficiency Program Manager helps the PM (or Sr. PM), ensure program goals are met. The Jr. PM is not the point of contact to existing Utility and Government customers, but helps the PM manage that relationship and relationships with the internal teams at ICAST.

Requirements

Must Have Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years' experience managing either of: Utility DSM (Demand-Side Management), WAP (Weatherization Assistance Program) or other clean energy Programs.
  • Proven Program Management abilities i.e., ability to get work done by team members who are not direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of utility rebate processes, especially custom rebate programs
  • Understanding of DOE's Weatherization requirements and processes
  • Understanding of Solar Grant programs.
  • Understanding of 3rd party M&V programs
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite of Products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • APMP Certification.
  • Innovative & Flexible.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Passionate about environmental, social, or non-profit work.

Location: Remote in the U.S.A.

Reports to: Director of Energy Efficiency Programs

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Areas of Expertise: Program Management, DSM, WAP

Compensation: $60,000/yr - DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with program managers to manage relationships with utility companies, Government staff, and other stakeholders in developing and managing EE Programs.
  • Working with program managers to facilitate internal ICAST activities as necessary to meet assigned EE Program goals.
  • Acting as a point of contact for energy data, incentives, and other stakeholder requests.
  • Provide support for any changes to EE Programs.
  • Assisting in presenting reports for program updates, annual strategic plans, management updates, etc.
  • Making program changes with PM to bring program back on track if it's not meeting goal

Initial Goals:

  • Gain a high-level understanding of EE programs within 6 months of employment.
