Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Italian-speaking customers with questions regarding shipping rates, estimated delivery timelines, customs documentation requirements, and freight service options.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to delayed, lost, or damaged parcels in coordination with logistics and operations teams, ensuring customers receive transparent and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Process and manage customer complaints, claims, and escalations professionally and empathetically, adhering to company policies and service level agreements within the courier and delivery services environment.
  • Accurately log all customer interactions, case details, and resolutions into the CRM system, maintaining meticulous records in compliance with operational standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including dispatch, warehouse operations, and third-party freight partners to provide customers with end-to-end visibility of their shipments.
  • Proactively identify recurring service issues or pain points in the courier delivery process and escalate feedback to team leaders to drive continuous service improvement.
  • Stay up to date with changes in shipping regulations, carrier policies, and freight industry developments to provide customers with accurate and current information at all times.

Requirements

  • Native or fluent Italian language proficiency, both spoken and written, is essential for this role — this is a non-negotiable requirement for all applicants.
  • A valid EU passport is mandatory for all candidates applying to this position.
  • A good command of English (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with internal teams and access operational resources.
  • Previous experience in customer support, customer service, or contact centre operations is preferred; background within the shipping, freight, courier, or logistics industry is a significant advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.
