We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Insurance Verification Specialist to support healthcare operations by ensuring accurate and timely verification of patient insurance coverage. This role is critical in minimizing claim denials, improving patient experience, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to appointments or procedures

  • Confirm deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and coverage limitations with insurance providers

  • Accurately enter and update patient insurance information in the EMR system

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in insurance data to prevent billing issues

  • Communicate verification results clearly with internal teams (scheduling, billing, and clinical staff)

  • Prioritize and manage multiple verification requests while meeting deadlines

  • Ensure all processes comply with HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards

  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of verification activities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in healthcare administration or a medical office setting

  • Proven experience in insurance verification and eligibility checks

  • Strong EMR/EHR data entry skills with a high level of accuracy (non-negotiable)

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workflows efficiently
