BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger WFP’s HR Technology and Analytics Branch (HRMOI) powers the digital backbone of HR, delivering smart tools, data, and strategy to streamline processes, drive decisions, and elevate experience.

HRMOI leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of the HR technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring streamlined, effective, and compliant HR processes across the organization. It provides data, analytics, and digital tools to employees, managers, executives, HR practitioners, and external partners — supporting evidence-based decision-making, improving productivity, and enhancing employee and customer experience.

The HRMOI Branch consists of six workstreams:

(STREAM 2)      Talent, learning & recruiting systems

(STREAM 4)      Organization, positions & security

(STREAM 5)      HR capabilities, system adoption & experience

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Product Owner for Reporting, Dashboards & Self‑Service, the HR Reporting & Analytics Consultant will be working to contributing to product planning, backlog refinement, and delivery of analytics solutions.

1. Discover activities to establish the extract, transformation and quality requirements from sources

2. Extract and prepare periodic (monthly/quarterly & annual) standard reporting including but not limited to; payroll reports, audit reports, external UN agency reports, executive board reports and other corporate reporting as requested.

3. Conduct data cleansing and data verification activities from WFP’s various systems (quality, data source...).

4. Perform data preparation, reporting and data analysis from multiple systems and data sources.

5. Complete ad-hoc activities relating to data investigations, follow-ups on analysis results, or business requirements.

6. Active involvement in core data design documentation, drafting of communication and training materials (internally and to other stakeholders as required).

7. Provision of legacy/source to target system mapping (configuration values).

8. Validate the Data Mapping and data Quality in target system. Prepare HR statistical reports for WFP management at HQ, HR practitioners other stakeholders offices as needed.

10. Analyse and reconcile HR data on a monthly basis based in various systems used.

11. Provide quality control staffing data extracted from various WFP corporate systems

12. Support with on-going projects as needed (HCM/OnePY, SAP upgrade or otherwise)

13. Any other duties as required.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

  • Reporting and analytics are delivered to stakeholders in a timely, accurate and decision‑ready manner, following structured intake and prioritization processes.
  • Corporate dashboards and tools are timely updated
  • Statistical analysis is conducted to support projects, HR initiatives and management decision‑making, using robust and transparent methodologies.
  • Data quality is continuously monitored, documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders, including identification and follow‑up of inconsistencies across systems.
  • Data assets, mappings and source‑to‑target structures are maintained and updated in a timely and accurate manner to support HR capabilities, systems mapping and downstream reporting.
  • Analytics and reporting requests are captured, prioritized and tracked through a structured intake process, ensuring visibility of workload and alignment with HRMOI priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

University undergraduate or graduate with experience and training courses in one or more of the following disciplines: statistics and/or information technology or any other related fields.

Experience & Skills:

Experience with data analysis and reporting.

Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Power Point, HCM systems, Visualization tools

Excellent communication skills.

Languages:

Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages).
