Group Sales Specialist

Full-Time Position

 

We are looking for a Group Sales Specialist to join our Sales team supporting Blue Man Group (BMG). The Sales Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving revenue generation by actively researching, identifying, reaching out to, and successfully closing deals with key group sales prospects for our Blue Man Group productions. We're seeking an ideal candidate who embodies a results-driven approach, possesses high motivation, and exudes a genuine passion for the live entertainment sector. 

 

The Group Sales Specialist will have the opportunity to:

- Cultivate and nurture relationships with pivotal associations, organizations, and sales partners. 

- Develop and execute a proactive outbound group sales strategy under the guidance of the Director of Sales, securing all bookings for Blue Man Group. 

- Manage inbound calls and online inquiries from external clients and potential leads, while actively pursuing new business opportunities. 

- Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and contracting all group business opportunities.

- Conduct regular sales visits, arrange familiarization tours, and extend complimentary invitations. 

- Consistently surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.

- Represent Blue Man Group at relevant conventions and trade shows to engage delegates and cultivate prospective leads. 

- Participate in industry networking events to establish connections with peers and key figures in the tourism sector. 

- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date files and account databases, including sales histories, profiles, contracts, and partner communications, utilizing Salesforce. 

- Prepare detailed sales analysis reports to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.  Fulfill any additional responsibilities, miscellaneous projects, and duties as delegated by the Director of Sales. 

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

- The position necessitates a minimum of 3-5 years of direct group sales experience, with at least 1 year of experience within the Entertainment, Hospitality, or Sports Industry.

- A University Degree in Hospitality, Marketing/Sales, Business, or a related field is preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce is required, with familiarity with ticketing system(s) being preferred. Fluent in English, both written and spoken Verification of the right to work in the United States for Blue Man Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization.

- Able to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
