The product leader in this role will be responsible for understanding the MMIT product portfolio (both current capabilities and future product roadmaps) and key data dependencies to inform data models, architecture, and new product development. This role is extremely critical to the growth of the strategy and the business and as a result, has key dependencies across the organization to be able to collaborate with leadership and stakeholders across multiple functional units within the business.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for a leader that can:

  • Identify the top use-cases and business goals for RWD offerings in the marketplace through a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and preferences utilizing market investigation techniques. These may include but not limited to market research, customer interviews, and data analysis.

  • Utilize this insight to inform product strategy and prioritize features that deliver maximum value to customers through a comprehensive product roadmap.

  • Develop comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) models and strategies for new product launches, considering market dynamics, competitive landscape, customer segmentation, pricing strategies, and distribution channels.

  • In collaboration with sales and marketing teams, identify opportunities for business alignment by client type and RWD use case to advise on pre-sales activities such as solution enablement, thought leadership, and go-to-market messaging.

  • Conduct thorough market analysis and sizing exercises to identify RWD market opportunities, assess market potential, and inform strategic decision-making.

  • Translate product management strategy into actionable data deliverables, guiding development of data models, business rules and other advanced analytical capabilities.

  • Excel at communicating across a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Work collaboratively with MMIT product and data teams to develop and/or commercialize analytics use cases that may include market access, coverage / lives, and RWE data.

  • Effectively partner with external organizations including clients and vendors to develop meaningful and projectable analytics about trends in market access dynamics across payers, geographies, indications, drugs, etc.

  • Identify and evaluate additional data sources that could be integrated in value enabling ways across multiple segments of the customer base.

  • Leverage advanced analytics techniques to extract actionable insights from real-world data sources, enabling evidence-based decision-making and product innovation. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop predictive models, segmentation strategies, and performance metrics.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the healthcare industry landscape, including regulatory requirements, reimbursement models, healthcare IT infrastructure, payer marketing, drug development lifecycle, drug launch processes, and emerging trends such as value-based care and population health management.

  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch to optimization, following agile methodologies and best practices. Define product requirements, create user stories, prioritize backlog, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

  • Support various commercial or commercialization efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large and complex healthcare datasets (including Claims, EMR, Lab), preferably patient-level longitudinal data and experience with studies of treatment effectiveness/outcomes, disease progression, adherence, healthcare utilization, patient journey, sales targeting, prescription/procedure volumes/shares, provider networks and prescribing/treatment patterns.

  • Familiarity with agile software development practices

  • Experience working with private and sensitive personal information

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including ability to present technical concepts to lay audiences, write analysis plans for projects, contribute to proposals / grant applications, pitch ideas effectively and persuasively to clients / internal stakeholders, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively to solve complex problems and individually to research/advance areas of interest and exploration

  • Proven ability to develop meaningful/valuable analytic insights from multiple data sources and support value through commercialization

  • Capable of working independently or within a team

  • Ability to travel (up to 30% on high end)

Preferred candidates may also have:

  • Experience supporting or launching Data and Analytics or SaaS-based enterprise product.

  • Experience using Snowflake.

  • Experience in managed markets and pharma market access ecosystem.

  • Experience in the commercial health insurance industry.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $170,000 to $ 190,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
