Crenshaw Communications, a Mod Op company, is seeking an experienced leader to join our dynamic B2B technology team. This is an opportunity to work with well-known B2B tech companies in industries like adtech, martech, sales tech, and artificial intelligence (AI).

In this role, you'll be a key part of the team, leading client communication, diving strategy and working together with a team to secure media coverage on behalf of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with clients, providing guidance and driving strategic direction
  • Act as a source of knowledge on the ad tech industry, supporting team members and clients
  • Build relationships with media and proactively pitch targeted outlets, including broadcast, print and new media
  • Work collaboratively with team members to develop and implement successful PR campaigns
  • Oversee the development of media materials, including press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies and backgrounders
  • Lead in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients
  • Mentor team members: aid in upskilling with respect to key PR strategies and tactics, including but not limited to, media relations, thought leadership and executive visibility, and awards and speaking programs
  • Maintain 1-4 direct reports, assist in the development of goals, deliver annual reports and regular check-ins
  • Assist in the research and development of new business proposals

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of prior work experience in PR, including agency experience
  • Experience working at or on behalf of an adtech brand, securing coverage with national, business and trade media
  • Strong understanding of the PR process, the news media landscape, and what 'makes' a story
  • B2B PR background with knowledge of corporate PR and crisis management
  • Experience measuring the ROI of communications activities
  • A passion for storytelling and proven track record of securing earned media coverage
  • Deadline-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Superior people and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team player who works well under pressure
  • Thrives in an environment of flexibility and change
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally, interfacing at all levels
