Data Engineer GCP (BigQuery)

This is a remote position.

Manning Global, an Internationally renowned staffing and managed services organization specializing in providing staffing solutions for leading corporations in AI, IT & Telecoms, Engineering, Digital Media, Automotive and Renewable Energy is recruiting for Data Engineer GCP (BigQuery) on behalf of one of their blue-chip international clients to join their organization in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring its reliability, performance and availability.
  

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations using BigQuery (SQL) and Dataform.
  

• Work with core GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Dataproc and Log Explorer, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
  

• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and data privacy requirements across data processes and access.
  

Experience/Qualifications: 

• 7 to 10 + yrs of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud based solutions.
  

• Experience and knowledge in Data Forms BigQuery(SQL) & Power BI with SOX expertise.
  

• Data Engineering Technician with knowledge in Data Forms and BigQuery (SQL).
  

• Proven experience in the management and operation of the Platform on Google Cloud Platform and associated services.
  

• Technical specialists in data transformation and usage on Google Cloud services/components;
  

• GCP Developers (for example, Cloud Run).
  

• GCP Architecture.
  

• Exp in Google Cloud Platform & VMs, Buckets, Cloud SQL, Dataproc, Log Explorer
  

• Should have working experience in SOX controls and data privacy.Specialists in data governance, Knowledge Catalog/Dataplex and Truedat tools, complemented with security and SOX.
  

• Technical specialists in the support and development of reports and dashboards, in Power BI, SAC, Looker technologies, Looker semantic layer. Experience in Fabric will be valued.
  

• Required Skills: Cloud GCP, Dataprocs, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Log Explorer, Cloud Storage, Bigquery, Shell (Bash), Power BI, SAC, Looker technologies
  

• Languages: English and Spanish fluent.
