About the company
Our client is a Birmingham based education recruitment business, now in its fifth year and scaling nationally. We place teachers, teaching assistants, nursery practitioners and SEND support staff into schools and nurseries across the UK, on day to day cover, long term and permanent roles.
Our North Star is a 100% fill rate: every placement that comes through our books is filled with a safe, high quality candidate. We run a phone first business, and this role contributes directly to that goal.
Why this role matters
Every booking we fill starts with a candidate you found, screened, cleared and kept warm. You own the candidate journey from first call until they are compliant, booked and rebooked. Every candidate you bring in will be working with children, so quality is not optional. You are the first line of our business, and how you represent Pioneer decides whether great candidates choose us. Do this well and schools get reliable people first time, candidates work consistently, and the desks weekly margin grows.
Key responsibilities
Finding and securing the right people
• Source candidates every day, using our own database first, then LinkedIn, Indeed, CV Library and
the new channels and tools we provide.
• Make high volumes of outbound calls to canvass, screen and engage candidates across every
role we place.
• Run structured screening interviews covering experience, availability, location, right to work and
suitability for working with children.
• Look beyond the certificate. Judge reliability, attitude, safeguarding awareness and real
classroom or setting experience.
• Sell our brand with confidence: our schools, our pay, our support and the reasons candidates
should work with us.
• Lock candidates in by securing commitment, booking next steps and keeping in regular contact.
• Introduce qualified candidates to the relevant UK consultant with a clear, concise handover.
Building a ready to work pool
• Build and maintain a strong pool of candidates who are cleared, available and ready to go.
• Know where every candidate lives, how they travel and which areas they can realistically cover.
• Track and update availability every day in Salesforce so consultants always know who can work.
• Work through our historical database, re-engaging and re-registering archived candidates and
making them live again.
Onboarding and compliance
• Run onboarding in tandem with Compliance, chasing documents, references, DBS and right to
work checks.
• Prioritise the candidates we need most so they are cleared and ready to work as quickly as
possible.
• Keep candidates informed at every stage so nobody goes cold while waiting.
• setting first time, so we earn the rebooking.
Full training is provided.
How success is measured
• Outbound calls per day
• New candidate registrations per week
• Archived candidates reactivated per week
• Candidates fully compliant per week, and average time from registration to clearance
• Candidates placed into work, rebooking rate and cover requests filled versus lost
• Contribution to weekly bookings and margin on the desk
How to apply: send your CV and a short note on which roles you have resourced before. If shortlisted, expect a phone call from us first.

micromanaged.
• Thinks ahead. You are proactive, not reactive, and plan next week before next week arrives.
• Communicates without being chased. You keep the consultant updated on bookings, gaps and
wins as they happen.
• Is conscientious and trustworthy. Real attention to detail, and an understanding that
