The Opportunity
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be the front line of Appficiency's growth engine — generating and qualifying new business opportunities within the NetSuite and broader multi-technology ecosystem. You'll focus on key target verticals including Trucking & Logistics, regulated industries (government, education), and Engineer-to-Order/Construction, researching target accounts, running outbound prospecting campaigns, and engaging decision-makers to build a strong pipeline for the sales team. This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who understands the multi-tech space and is eager to grow into a closing sales role.

Qualify inbound leads, ensuring they meet ideal customer profile (ICP) criteria before handoff to Account Executives
Book qualified meetings and demos for the sales team, maintaining a consistent, healthy pipeline
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of prospect interactions and pipeline activity in Salesforce and NetSuite
Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales to refine messaging, targeting, and campaign effectiveness by vertical
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline generation and activity targets
Participate in sales enablement training to continuously improve prospecting and qualification skills

Experience in the Salesforce, NetSuite or other major business application ecosystem or adjacent to SaaS/ERP/CRM space strongly preferred
Familiarity with Trucking & Logistics, regulated industries (government, education), or Engineer-to-Order/Construction is a plus
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline generation or activity quotas
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong phone and email prospecting ability
Comfort using CRM and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of outbound activity
A resilient, coachable mindset with genuine curiosity about prospects' business challenges
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
What Will Set You Apart
Genuine familiarity with NetSuite/Salesforce or comparable ERP/SaaS platforms, enabling credible prospect conversations from day one
Prior exposure to Trucking & Logistics, regulated industries, or Engineer-to-Order/Construction, allowing for faster ramp-up on vertical-specific messaging
A track record of consistently exceeding pipeline or meeting-booked targets in a prior BDR/SDR role
Sharp research skills — able to quickly identify the right accounts, contacts, and angles for outreach
Strong resilience and coachability, adapting messaging based on feedback and market response
Genuine curiosity about clients' business challenges, going beyond scripted outreach to build real rapport
