Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and autonomous Bookkeeper to anchor our financial operations. In this role, you will take full ownership of day-to-day record-keeping, ensuring our financial data is precise, up-to-date, and compliant. This is a critical position for a XERO expert who thrives in a remote environment and enjoys providing the financial clarity necessary for leadership to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage accurate financial records exclusively within XERO.
• Perform comprehensive reconciliation of bank statements and accounts.
• Manage the end-to-end processing of invoices, payments, and employee expenses.
• Prepare clear and concise financial reports for regular leadership review.
• Execute month-end close processes to ensure financial integrity.
• Ensure strict compliance with UK bookkeeping standards and HMRC requirements.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience managing books within XERO accounting software.
• Strong background in UK bookkeeping, including familiarity with HMRC practices and regulations.
• Deep understanding of fundamental bookkeeping principles (AR/AP, reconciliations, and ledgers).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, delivering high-quality work to deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Clear communication skills for reporting directly to the CEO.
