Insurity’s Next Associate UX Designer  

Are you early in your design career and eager to grow your UX craft in a collaborative, fast-moving environment? As an Associate UX Designer at Insurity, you'll work alongside a talented UX team to help shape insurance software that is intuitive, efficient, and human-centered.  What Our Associate UX Designer Will Do 

• Communicate and collaborate on a regular basis with the UX team and other project stakeholders
• Participate in discovery sessions
• Learn about customer needs and market trends through customer interaction and other market research
• Participate in the maintenance and growth of the design system through direct feedback and collaboration
• Collaborate with user researchers to conduct research activities (interviews, surveys, shadowing, usage data analytics) with target market
• Clearly articulate ideas through visual and verbal communication, including storyboards, workflows, mockups, wireframes, static and functional prototypes
• Understand and evangelize user-centered design and product development processes, standards, and best practices
• Participate in design review sessions and explain design concepts and decisions to product/development teams, customers, and stakeholders
• Support design system advocacy by using established components and patterns consistently, sharing feedback when issues arise, and learning how the system improves usability, efficiency, and consistency
• Learn about insurance industry business needs by market
• Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, and blogs

Who We’re Looking For  

• A supporting-level player who is building their UX skillset and toolbox
• Early-career candidates and career changers; a quality portfolio or industry understanding is valued, but little to no shipped work is okay
• Strong in 1, and capable in 2 or more of the following: Design workshops, Storytelling, Information Architecture, Prototyping, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Research/Usability
• Highly user-focused mentality
• A collaborative attitude, bringing excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong operational mindset, decisive, "get it done" mentality and ability to work independently
• Experience collaborating with UX team members
• Demonstrate emerging AI/ML product design awareness

Recommended experience: Early-career experience in UX design or a related field is preferred

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience considered

Software: Proficient knowledge and experience with Figma or similar vector/UI design tools; prototyping, wireframing, and workflow design tools; common office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); remote collaboration tools (video conference, whiteboarding, etc.); enthusiasm for experimenting with emerging technologies

Certifications (to be completed after hire): Insurity Academy Courses — Introduction to Insurance, Types of Insurance, Lifecycle of an Insurance Policy, Insurance Entities

We share a career level salary as a guideline; however, actual salary may vary based on your experience and qualifications.
