Job Details

We offer a dynamic and professionally rewarding environment in which associate attorneys are exposed to all aspects of a complex and fast-paced litigation practice. The firm's intimate size is and structure gives associates opportunities to manage small cases while working on all aspects of larger cases. Our firm has been a part of important securities, environmental, wildfire, consumer, elections, and business cases in Oregon and nationally for decades.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to high-level strategy meetings
  • Try cases
  • Conduct legal research
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals
  • Represent clients in court proceeding and hearings
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Lead interactions with clients and opposing counsel
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Oregon
  • Several years of experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in legal drafting, negotiation, and litigation
