The Assistant Account Manager will manage a portfolio of clients by executing tax, accounting, and operational activities while ensuring high-quality service delivery. They will also support client onboarding, monitor workflow trackers, and collaborate with team members to meet strict service level targets.
Operating under the guidance of the Team Lead, PSC Account Managers, the Assistant Account Manager will execute a diverse range of technical, operational, and client-facing activities within the Personal Limited Company (PLC) division. Managing an assigned portfolio of clients, you will ensure all tax and accounting deliverables are met in strict alignment with company KPIs and service level targets.
A core focus of this role is delivering a seamless, positive customer experience. From supporting the onboarding of new clients to proactively managing day-to-day queries and regularly reviewing bookkeeping records, you will act as a trusted operational partner throughout the client lifecycle. Experience & Knowledge
A demonstrable background or strong interest in delivering high-quality, customer-centric service within a professional environment is required.
Some practical experience in bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns, and processing payroll is considered a distinct advantage, though not essential.

Client Relationship Management: Manage direct phone and email communications, addressing client queries regarding VAT, payroll, and general accounting matters under the guidance of the Team Leader.
Portfolio Service Delivery: Execute day-to-day tax and accounting services for an assigned portfolio of PSC clients, ensuring all outputs meet strict service level targets and KPIs under the guidance, and with the support of the Account Manager Team Leader.
Compliance & Returns: Prepare, review, and submit client VAT and payroll returns accurately and on schedule with the support of the account manager team leader.
Financial Oversight: Conduct regular reviews of client trial balances, identifying trends and providing proactive feedback and advice where appropriate with the support of the account manager team leader.
Year-End & Closures Support: Collaborate with the wider PSC accounting team to prepare annual financial accounts, company closures, and voluntary strike-off documentation.
Company Secretarial Duties: Prepare and review annual B1 returns for the Companies Registration Office (CRO) along with other statutory company secretarial paperwork.
Quality Control: Support divisional standards by reviewing tax and accounting work undertaken by team colleagues.
Workflow Monitoring: Actively monitor workflow trackers to ensure all operational activities remain on schedule and backlogs are prevented.
Client Onboarding: Execute timely, welcoming, and high-quality onboarding experiences for new PSC clients, collaborating closely with Customer Experience Onboarding Specialists.
Issue Escalation: Proactively identify and escalate technical concerns, complex accounting challenges, or out-of-scope client activities to senior team members.
Continuous Improvement: Partner with the Division Manager and Team Leader to support initiatives aimed at optimizing systems, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assist the wider division during peak periods or leave gaps, contributing to Flat Rate Expense (FLC) services, ticketing systems optimisation, and the development of customer guides.
