Job Description

The Marketing Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for developing analytics-driven insights and solutions to help our organization achieve its business goals. This role will support customer analytics and retail marketing teams by heightening the available data and leveraging their analytic capabilities to drive media and audience optimizations.

This role will serve as a champion for data analysis through shaping data visualization, while building enthusiasm for data-driven decision making - helping the organization solve data-related problems and challenges. In doing so, this role works across multiple teams and multiple disciplines to support the design, development, and deployment of Marketing/Retail Marketing analytics to serve consumption use for broad users and audiences, including leadership teams, business facing teams, regional teams and dealers.

Major Responsibilities
  • (50%) Data Analysis
    • Design, develop, and maintain ongoing metrics, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
    • Perform large-scale data analyses to extract useful business insights and unlock new strategies and optimizations.
    • Translate analytics and analysis to data stories, identify actionable solutions and recommendations to influence the direction of the business by communicating results to cross-functional groups, inclusive of our agency partners.
    • Proactively identify patterns and trends to allow for business recommendations based on complex data sets.
    • Establish best practices and provide data visualization guidance to broader data science team to best support Marketing/Retail Marketing needs.
  • (30%) Data Insights & Reporting
    • Produce data visualizations to communicate findings in an accessible manner, across multiple audiences/teams/departments
    • Compile and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly insights into the Shopping Journey – with a focus on the direct impact of Retail Marketing programs and investment.
  • (20%) Data Strategy Support
    • Collaborate with leadership team to align goals, strategies, and progress.
    • Proactively engage with both Marketing/Retail Marketing Operations to lead and execute cross-functional data analyses, further refining our strategies and tools as needed.
    • Partner with data engineers and IT to innovate the sourcing, management, and use of data ensuring a smooth flow of data from ideation to execution.
    • Create robust data resources to evaluate and manage business strategies.
    • Gather and define business requirements for data science tools and models and work with internal teams to ensure pipeline for future business analyses
    • Evaluate, analyze and interpret trends in data in order to provide relevant conclusions and recommendations to management.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years experience developing and applying advanced statistical approaches required
  • 3+ years experience utilizing data mining packages (e.g., Python, R, SAS, STATA, Excel) required
  • 2+ years experience in marketing analytics required


Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Statistics Preferred
  • Bachelor Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Applied Mathematics Preferred
  • An equivalent mix of education, training, and/or work experience may be considered in place of a degree Required


Licenses and Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI) Preferred Upon Hire
  • Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate - Google via Coursera Preferred Upon Hire


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of current automotive landscape, trends, and innovations (Developing-Intermediate)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (Developing-Intermediate)
  • Presentation building skills with an ability to collaborate (Developing-Intermediate)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams) (Developing-Intermediate)
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) (Intermediate-Advanced)
  • Ability to organize, reorganize, and make suggestions for project execution to maximize efficiency. (Developing-Intermediate)
  • Must be analytical and a problem solver with the ability to identify problems and/or cause-effect relationships; identify key issues; secure relevant information from all appropriate sources; identify possible root causes of problems and develop and implement corrective actions for resolution (Intermediate-Advanced)

Pay Range

$77,700.00 - $112,650.00

Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
