About the Account Executive, Partnerships Position

The Account Executive, Partnerships is a true hunter responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business and strategic partnership opportunities across Beacon Nonprofit, Snap Mailbox, and 360 Legal Forms. This role owns the sales process from initial outreach through contract execution, including prospecting, cold calling, discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and securing signed agreements.

After contract execution, the Account Executive provides a complete and timely handoff to the internal teams responsible for onboarding, implementation, activation, go-live, and ongoing account management.

This is an opportunity to build a strong pipeline and work closely with executive leadership, Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, Finance, and Operations to capture new partnership opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, research, and prospect strategic partners, including associations, software providers, professional services firms, referral organizations, and complementary businesses.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across Beacon Nonprofit, Snap Mailbox, and 360 Legal Forms.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, conferences, trade shows, and other sales channels.
  • Engage business owners, executives, and other decision-makers; lead discovery meetings to understand business needs, goals, budget, decision process, and potential fit.
  • Present relevant products, pricing, partnership models, and value propositions; develop tailored proposals, presentations, and business cases.
  • Own the full sales cycle, manage objections and stakeholders, negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines, and secure executed agreements.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Product, and other internal stakeholders during the contracting process and accurately document all agreed-upon terms, requirements, and commitments.
  • Conduct a structured post-signature handoff, including complete documentation of business needs, contracted terms, timelines, stakeholders, and commitments made during the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate prospecting activity, opportunity stages, notes, next steps, contract values, close dates, and forecasts in HubSpot CRM.
  • Provide reliable pipeline forecasts and monitor pipeline coverage, conversion rates, sales-cycle progress, and performance against assigned goals.
  • Share market feedback, customer needs, competitive insights, and sales trends with Sales, Marketing, Product, and leadership.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, webinars, conferences, trade shows, and industry events.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Three to seven or more years of experience in account executive, business development, partnerships, channel sales, strategic alliances, or consultative B2B sales.
  • Demonstrated success prospecting, developing, negotiating, and closing new business through a complete sales cycle.
  • Strong cold-calling, outbound prospecting, consultative selling, presentation, objection-handling, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to identify and engage decision-makers, create urgency, and advance opportunities through complex sales cycles.
  • Experience developing proposals and business cases and communicating financial, operational, and strategic value.
  • Experience selling B2B SaaS, technology, legal, financial, compliance, nonprofit, or professional services solutions preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement platforms such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar tools.
  • Strong pipeline management, forecasting, organization, follow-through, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a results-driven remote environment.
  • Ability to accurately represent product capabilities, negotiate within approved parameters, and travel periodically as needed.

  • Building a repeatable pipeline of qualified partnership opportunities.
  • Signing high-quality strategic partners.
  • Achieving an 80% or greater partner activation rate.
  • Driving first-year partner revenue.
  • Building long-term customer acquisition channels.
  • Delivering accurate forecasts and maintaining strong CRM hygiene.

Compensation

Base Salary: $60,000

On-Target Earnings: Approximately $100,000

This position is eligible for variable compensation based on:

  • The number of new partners signed, paid quarterly
  • The number of new partners activated, paid quarterly
  • A percentage of first-year revenue generated by newly activated partners during the first twelve months following activation, paid annually.

Final commission rates, performance thresholds, eligibility requirements, and payment terms will be outlined in the company’s sales compensation plan. Actual earnings may vary based on performance.
