The consultant will provide technical support to plan, implement, and monitor the Regional Agenda on Chemical Safety and Health. Responsibilities include coordinating with national authorities, managing information systems, and developing training initiatives to strengthen chemical risk surveillance and response.
The consultant will conduct health vulnerability and adaptation assessments to identify climate-related health risks in Aruba and Curaçao. They will also develop comprehensive Health National Adaptation Plans (HNAPs) and facilitate stakeholder consultations to integrate health considerations into national climate policies.
The consultant will develop technical guidelines, training materials, and operational tools to strengthen the capacity of Emergency Medical Teams (EMT) in the Americas. They will also provide technical assistance and mentorship to national EMTs during preparation, classification, and response processes.
The consultant will collaborate on the production, quality analysis, and dissemination of annual core health indicators based on civil registration and vital statistics. They will also provide specialized technical support in health statistics, data quality, and population health monitoring to assist member states.
