The Director of Engineering Services leads the structural design team in delivering railroad bridge projects while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance. They are responsible for team development, project execution, client relationship management, and achieving departmental profitability goals.
Lead and maintain the company’s CAD standards, systems, templates, workflows, and quality-control processes, while training staff and reviewing drawings for accuracy and compliance. Produce and coordinate railroad infrastructure project drawings, support project delivery and design activities, and progressively take on civil and structural design assignments under licensed professional engineers.
Lead railroad bridge projects from alternatives analysis and design through construction support, including rehabilitation, replacement, culvert, and emergency repair work. Develop technical solutions and project proposals, support client relationships and environmental permitting, mentor engineers, and ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery.
