Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Vice President, Managed Services Organization (MSO) is a senior executive responsible for the operational leadership, performance, and growth of system services delivered to internal and external clients. The VP, MSO provides scalable, high-quality administrative, clinical support, and infrastructure services to support medical group practices, urgent care operations, and employer-based health services organizations. The VP, MSO partners closely with system leadership, physician executives, and client organizations to ensure operational excellence, financial sustainability, service standardization, and client satisfaction while enabling growth of managed services as a strategic business line for the health system.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide executive leadership for managed services operations and translate organizational strategy into scalable operational services.
• Lead the development and execution of operational strategy, including the growth of services provided to affiliated and non-affiliated client organizations.
• Oversee delivery of managed services, which may include practice management and operations, revenue cycle management, access and scheduling, call center operations, care coordination and population health support, information technology and electronic health record optimization and analytics, credentialing and provider onboarding, and compliance, risk, and quality support.
• Establish and maintain service standards, performance metrics, service level expectations, and accountability structures to support consistent service delivery across client organizations.
• Lead operational relationships with client organizations and contribute operational expertise to proposals, implementations, onboarding, and service offerings.
• Manage operational performance, including productivity, cost management, margin performance, service efficiency, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and financial performance reporting in collaboration with finance leadership.
• Lead continuous improvement and performance improvement efforts to enhance value delivered to clients while maintaining financial discipline and quality of service.
• Build and lead the managed services leadership team, including development of succession plans and leadership pipelines for critical operational roles.
• Partner with compliance, legal, quality, physician, and clinical leaders to support regulatory and contractual requirements, mitigate operational risk, and maintain quality and compliant service delivery.

Education

• Bachelors Healthcare administration, business, finance or related field (required)
• Master’s Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Health or related field (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum of ten (10) years progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-site or system-level operations preferably within: Medical group practice management, MSOs or Health system shared services
• Proven ability to scale operations and deliver services to multiple client organizations
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing complex budgets and operational performance

Compensation Package: $305,000 - $395,000 base + 403(b) + 457(b) + 457(f)/SERP (7.5% Contribution, 6% Interest YOY) + 25% annual target bonus
