AI Summary

The Technical Account Manager will serve as the primary technical point of contact for healthcare customers, ensuring platform health, adoption, and growth. Responsibilities include proactive technical advisory, managing account technical plans, and leading technical responses to escalations.

About the role

Vasion is looking for a Technical Account Manager who becomes the technical point of contact for our healthcare customers after the sale, working with hospital and health-system IT teams, from day-to-day administrators to IT directors, to keep the platform healthy, adopted, and growing long after go-live. We modernize how organizations handle documents, print, and content workflows, replacing fragmented legacy tools with a single, secure platform. In healthcare, that means print and document workflows that clinicians never have to think about, and IT teams that are never surprised.

At a Glance
  • Segment: Healthcare accounts: hospitals, health systems, and multi-site provider networks
  • Vertical focus: Healthcare
  • Engagement model: Post-sales technical ownership across adoption, retention, and expansion
  • Work model: Remote; ability to travel up to 20% [confirm]
  • Success metrics: Gross retention on assigned accounts, risk identified before the customer raises it, adoption milestones met, expansion ARR influenced
What Success Looks Like

You find problems before our customers do. Every account in your book has a current technical plan that the customer's own technical owner has agreed to, and that plan already accounts for the EHR upgrade, the new clinic opening, and the audit that are coming. Escalations end with a root cause and a fix that holds. Renewals are a confirmation, not a negotiation, because the technical trust was built a year earlier.

What you'll do

Ownership of the technical relationship across healthcare accounts: preventing risk, driving adoption, and growing customers over time.

  • Proactive technical advisory: Anticipate deployment, adoption, and stability risk across your accounts before the customer raises it. Turn release changes, configuration drift, and usage patterns into recommendations that name the risk, the likely impact, and the choice available to the customer, and be clear about which conclusions are firm and which need more evidence.
  • Technical account planning: Own a twelve-month technical plan for each account, grounded in the health system's real growth, projects, and constraints, and agreed with the customer's technical owner. Keep a forward calendar of EHR upgrades and cutovers, new site openings, acquisitions, audits, and clinical change freezes, so Vasion hears about them before they arrive as escalations.
  • Clinical workflow adoption: Help customers get the full value of what they already own, including secure pull and badge-based printing, serverless print management, and EHR-connected print and document workflows across shared clinical workstations and virtual desktops. Convert unused capability into adoption commitments.
  • Escalation leadership: Lead the technical response when one of your accounts escalates, especially when printing or document delivery touches patient-facing operations. Coordinate Support and Engineering, give the customer one voice, and confirm the fix has held before closing it out.
  • Service delivery and renewal support: Manage entitlement consumption across your book, coordinate Professional Services, Support, and partners, and give Customer Success the technical input needed to protect renewals, quarters ahead.
  • Expansion: Identify new use cases inside the account, such as document workflow and capture needs, and build the technical case with Customer Success and Sales.
  • Field feedback and enablement: Share healthcare field insight with Product and Engineering, and contribute runbooks, health-check templates, and reference architectures to the shared library.
What You Bring

Strong technical grounding, healthcare IT fluency, and a structured approach to keeping accounts healthy and growing:

  • Post-sales technical advisory: Health reviews, adoption planning, review delivery, escalation coordination, and clear communication from IT administrator to Director level.
  • Architecture and systems thinking: Ability to read and critique a customer's deployment architecture, including multi-site and virtualized environments.
  • Networking and identity: Troubleshooting DNS, proxies, and firewalls; strong grasp of LDAP and SSO (Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Ping), plus badge and tap-to-authenticate workflows such as Imprivata.
  • Security and compliance: Working knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH requirements as they apply to print and output management; awareness of SOC 2 and ISO.
  • Domain expertise: Print, Workflow, and Output Automation in cloud and hybrid environments; familiarity with EHR platforms (Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner) and the print and document patterns around them.
  • Technical toolbox: Diagramming; bash and/or PowerShell; SQL basics; RESTful APIs; Jira; AI-assisted workflows.
Qualifications

Hands-on post-sales experience and the technical depth to earn trust with customer administrators:

  • 3-5+ years in technical account management, post-sales engineering, or senior technical support for SaaS or enterprise software
  • Track record owning enterprise accounts through renewal cycles and escalations
  • Comfortable engaging technical owners and decision makers, with strong writing and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • English language proficiency; additional language skills valued
What Sets You Apart

Healthcare instincts that identify risk and opportunity before anyone asks:

  • Experience working inside a hospital or health-system IT organization, or supporting one as a vendor
  • Hands-on exposure to EHR-connected printing, clinical workstation environments, or virtual desktop infrastructure
  • Experience with healthcare compliance reviews and security questionnaires
  • Track record of recovering an at-risk account
  • Early-access or beta program management
Benefits
  • Flexible work environment
  • Vacation Bonus
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Paid parental leave
  • Competitive pay
  • A full suite of traditional benefits
  • Training/Advancement opportunities
  • 401k with company match and immediate vesting
