AI Summary

The Technical Account Manager owns the post-sale technical relationship with strategic customers, ensuring successful product adoption and business value realization. They act as a senior technical advisor, co-owning success plans and driving expansion opportunities through roadmap alignment and expert guidance.
About the role:

The Technical Account Manager owns the post-sale technical relationship with Semarchy's most strategic customers. As Semarchy evolves its customer engagement into a technical-led model, the TAM brings deep product expertise, architectural perspective, and outcome ownership to every account — the technical partner who turns a Semarchy investment into realized business value.
TAMs partner closely with Account Executives and Account Managers, who own the executive relationship and commercial motion, and with CX Operations, which owns health scoring and renewal forecasting. TAMs report to the regional Director of Technical Account Management. What you'll own:

Customer outcomes and success plans. Co-own success plans with Sales counterparts for each customer in your portfolio — capturing business outcomes, technical milestones, and the path from initial deployment through expansion. Deliver against agreed outcomes, track value realization, and surface risk early. Run Strategic Business Reviews alongside Sales, bringing the technical narrative and roadmap alignment.

Technical advisory and platform optimization. Serve as the customer's senior technical advisor across Semarchy products — architecture, data model design, matching strategy, integration patterns, and UI/UX. Conduct expert reviews of critical functionality, optimize existing use cases, and proactively identify opportunities to deepen utilization. Advise beyond the platform itself — best practices, operating model, and industry alignment — to help customers get the most from their investment.

Adoption, expansion, and growth. Drive product adoption and utilization as the foundation of every account. Identify and shape in-scope expansion — new domains, use cases, and data locations — through technical roadmap alignment, and partner with Sales to qualify and develop expansion pipeline with technical credibility and a feasibility view. Support customers transitioning from Semarchy xDM to SDP within their broader modernization timeline.

Relationship ownership and renewal readiness. Own the on-the-ground technical relationship, typically with customer architects, data leads, and platform owners, and act as their escalation point into Semarchy — coordinating with Support, Product, and Engineering as needed. Deliver advanced enablement to customer and partner teams, enforce Semarchy best practices across implementations (including partner-delivered work), and provide input into health scoring and renewal readiness, flagging risk early and partnering with CX Ops on at-risk accounts.

What you'll bring:
  • 7+ years in a senior post-sales technical role — TAM, Solutions Architect, Customer Success Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Strong technical expertise in master data management, data integration, or modern data platforms. Direct Semarchy experience (xDM, SDP, xDI) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong architectural fluency: data modeling, matching and survivorship, integration patterns, security, and cloud deployment topologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical capability into business outcomes — credible with both customer architects and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of 5-10 strategic enterprise customers simultaneously, balancing depth with consistency.
  • A track record of identifying and shaping expansion — not just renewing — within an existing customer base.
  • Strong written and verbal communication: can run a workshop, write a clean technical recommendation, and represent Semarchy at a customer executive meeting with equal confidence.
Nice to have
  • Experience supporting customers through a platform transition (legacy MDM to modern MDM, on-prem to SaaS).
  • Snowflake or other cloud data platform certifications.
  • Background in a regulated or data-intensive industry (financial services, healthcare/life sciences, retail, manufacturing).
  • Multilingual capability for EMEA-based roles (French, German, Spanish, or Italian).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
