If you're ready for a career that allows you to make a real difference in patient care while optimizing revenue cycle performance, you are made for this!  Our Revenue Cycle Specialists Enjoy Some Excellent Benefits:  $50,000 - $65,000 annual salary  Make a positive impact in the lives of others through accurate, timely billing  Family-oriented culture that promotes work-life balance  Professional development with online training and CEU opportunities  Tuition discounts through Rasmussen University  15 Days PTO; 7 Paid Holidays  401(k) with company match  Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits with leading national carriers  As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, Here's a Big-Picture View of What You'll Do:  Prepare and submit hospice claims and room & board claims separately, ensuring accurate billing in compliance with payer requirements, state Medicaid guidelines, and organizational policies; manage palliative care (Part B) billing to support timely reimbursement.  Review clinical documentation, physician orders, insurance information, and patient demographics to ensure accurate charge entry and clean claim submission.  Verify and maintain patient eligibility for palliative care services by collaborating with clinical, intake, case management, and payer representatives to confirm coverage, benefits, authorizations, enrollment status, and ongoing eligibility requirements.  Post cash receipts, reconcile payments, resolve payment variances, and complete day-end batch balancing and reporting activities.  Analyze aging accounts receivable reports, investigate claim denials, identify root causes of reimbursement delays, and perform timely follow-up on outstanding balances to maximize collections.  Collaborate with clinical, operational, and reimbursement teams to ensure accurate documentation, validate coverage information, and resolve billing issues efficiently.  Maintain detailed billing records, track account activity, and support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with federal, state, payer, and organizational requirements.  A Few Must-Haves for Revenue Cycle Specialists:  Associate’s degree in healthcare finance, accounting, business, or equivalent years of training and work experience.  Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in hospice, palliative care, home health, or post-acute care settings.  Solid understanding of Medicare Part A (hospice) and Part B (palliative care) billing regulations.  Experience with Axxess and eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR systems is strongly preferred.  Understanding of pass-through Hospice Room & Board billing processes, including payer requirements and reimbursement methodologies.  Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with payers, patients, clinical staff, and business partners.  Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office applications.  Solid time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to effectively manage billing responsibilities across a multi-state organization.  Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced revenue cycle environment.    Why You'll Love Working for Interim HealthCare  At Interim HealthCare, we believe our employees are our greatest asset.
