Talent Acquisition Specialist / Internal Recruiter (13-Month Fixed-Term Contract — Maternity Cover)

NMI is looking for a motivated and experienced Internal Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team on a 13-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity leave cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a hands-on role in shaping our teams during a period of continued growth.

The primary focus of this role will be recruiting for our global Support, Sales and Marketing organisations — critical functions that keep NMI's partners and customers at the heart of everything we do. Alongside this, you'll have the opportunity to recruit across multiple lines of business, giving you broad exposure to the variety of talent needs across the company.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong sourcing instincts, and can hit the ground running. Whether your background is in agency recruitment, in-house talent acquisition, or a blend of both — if you're passionate about finding great people, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a 100% remote opportunity for candidates based in the United Kingdom. While there is no requirement to work from an office, team members are always welcome to visit our Bristol office for in-person collaboration, internal events, holiday parties, and other opportunities to connect with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end recruitment process for roles across the global organisation, from intake through to offer acceptance.
• Manage a live requisition load of open roles simultaneously, maintaining momentum and quality across the full portfolio.
• Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, agree sourcing strategies, and ensure alignment on candidate profiles and timelines.
• Proactively source and engage passive candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and other creative channels.
• Build and maintain a healthy, diverse pipeline of candidates across all markets.
• Champion and represent NMI's culture, values, and employer brand throughout every candidate interaction.
• Conduct thorough initial screenings and coordinate interview processes, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience from first contact through to offer.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and use recruitment data to inform decisions and report on progress.
• Provide regular updates to hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership on requisition status, pipeline health, and market insights.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools, and practices.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of recruiting experience in an in-house and/or agency setting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple open requisitions concurrently, balancing speed and quality.
• Strong direct sourcing skills with demonstrated experience engaging passive candidates.
• Experience recruiting across multiple functions or business areas.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build credibility with hiring managers at all levels.
• Highly organised with strong prioritisation and time management skills.
• A data-informed mindset — you track your metrics, spot trends, and use insights to improve outcomes.
• Sound understanding of confidentiality and ethical recruitment practices.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience recruiting for customer support, marketing and sales functions in a global or multi-site environment.
• Familiarity with recruiting in the payments, fintech, or SaaS industry.
• Experience contributing to employer branding or university/early careers recruitment initiatives.
• Exposure to recruiting across international markets, particularly South Africa.
