What to expect:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for recruitment across CWB Group. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this role is responsible for delivering a consultative, end-to-end recruitment experience that attracts, assesses, and secures top talent while partnering closely with hiring managers, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), and other stakeholders throughout the hiring process.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist leads the recruitment process once hiring requirements have been established and approved, working collaboratively with HRBPs who support workforce planning, job design, and job evaluation activities with managers. The role advises and supports leaders on recruitment best practices, interviewing, candidate assessment, hiring decisions and the effective use of recruitment technology.

The role promotes a consistent, compliant, and positive candidate and hiring manager experience while leveraging recruitment technology and data to support effective talent acquisition outcomes, under the overall oversight and governance of the Director, Human Resources.

This includes:

Manager Consultation, Training & Recruitment Support

• Advise hiring managers, providing training and assistance on recruitment processes, hiring practices, and the Human Capital Management (HCM) recruitment system, and assistance throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Support leaders in interviewing, behavioural-based selection, candidate evaluation, recruitment compliance, and effective hiring practices to build internal recruitment capability.
• Lead and coordinate job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, assessments, reference checks, offer preparation, and onboarding coordination in collaboration with hiring managers.
• Provide guidance on market trends, talent availability, sourcing strategies, and hiring best practices.
• Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Delivery
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for professional, technical, operational, and leadership positions.
•  Collaborate with HR Business Partner and managers to support workforce planning and anticipated hiring needs.
• Ensure recruitment activities are conducted in accordance with employment legislation, organizational policies, and recruitment standards.

Recruitment Programs, Processes & Candidate Experience

• Support the continuous improvement of recruitment programs, tools, and processes. Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience from attraction through onboarding.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, maintain candidate communications, and support recruitment branding initiatives          

Talent Sourcing & Internal Partnerships:

• Support development and maintenance of talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, assessment providers, and other external recruitment partners.
• Support employer branding and talent attraction initiatives.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to understand current and future talent requirements and develop sourcing strategies to support approved workforce needs

Recruitment Systems, Reporting & Analytics

• Serve as the recruitment systems expert, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms such as Dayforce, UKG Pro, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and similar technologies.
• Prepare recruitment reports and analyze metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate experience, and hiring activity to support continuous improvement.

In this position, you will report to the Director, Human Resources and will work out of your home office, travel will be required from time to time. CWB has adopted a remote-first working model, where employees will work from their home office, servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person. We are embracing radical flexibility, where employees are encouraged to work a schedule that works best for them, their team, and their clients.

What you bring to the table:

• Post-Secondary Education in HR or related discipline
• 5 years full cycle recruiting experience.
• Experience providing consultative recruitment support to leaders and hiring managers.
• Experience training and supporting managers on recruitment best practices.
• Experience recruiting across professional, technical, operational, and leadership roles
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Sound judgment/problem solving ability along with strong customer service and relationship building skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and web-based platform e.g., Microsoft Teams
• Solid experience utilizing Human Capital Systems (HCM), specifically, Applicant Tracking Systems e.g. Dayforce, UKG Pro

 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• This is a Remote-First, primarily home-based position, with occasional travel for collaboration, to attend regional meetings and other required duties as required.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and travel within Canada may be occasionally necessary.

The following qualifications are considered assets:

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with evidence of regularly upgrading skills and knowledge in talent acquisition, recruitment technology, AI-enabled tools, and emerging industry best practices.
• CHRP or CHRL designation
• Ability to communicate effectively in French is considered an asset
  Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and technology to support sourcing, recruitment processes, candidate engagement, and overall talent acquisition effectiveness
