Uses specialized knowledge to support key areas of the organization related to an area of expertise. Frontline, department-based role that supervises daily functions of assigned area(s). Provides clear direction & manages / advances people, processes, structures & / or programs that support direct / indirect care. Supervises revenue integrity operations for assigned ministries in a region. Provides oversight & leadership for a team responsible for, but not limited to, charge description master (CDM) maintenance, centralized charge control, pre-bill edits, accurate revenue & reimbursement, complex claim denial coordination, payer audits & denial/operational write-off prevention.
Monitors work queues, performs and oversees data analysis & root cause identification to assist ministry stakeholders with corrective action plans. Responsible for building collaborative relationships with RHM leadership, Enterprise Patient Financial Services (EPFS) & other key operational and revenue stakeholders.
Responsible for ensuring all charge revenue is identified in payer contracts, implemented at time of billing, charges are submitted accurately and timely and all expected reimbursements are received.
Oversee complex case denial coordination with Enterprise Patient Financial services (EPFS), ensuring all denial prevention and resolution actions are performed timely.
Performs root cause analysis on denials to gather a better understanding of issues. Prepares & conducts identified education & training services to departments & staff pursuant to denial analysis & root cause findings, regulatory changes & requirements, coding updates & managed care billing requirement changes.

General Requirements:
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of medical group operations, as normally acquired through the completion of associate’s degree or related field & progressively responsible experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations including revenue integrity & charge control, preferably in a multi-site, integrated healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
Supervisory experience in a multi-facility, integrated health care delivery system or revenue cycle or revenue integrity consulting experience.
Knowledge & experience in acute care & / or physician practice setting preferred.
Supervisor or team leader experience preferred.
Licensure / Certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC, or other coding credentials preferred.
Experience in Charge Description Master (CDM) maintenance preferred.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
