District Partners is engaged by a leading company in the nonprofit and political outreach space to hire a Senior Fullstack PHP Developer. Our client seeks a senior-level full-stack PHP developer who thrives in a remote work environment. This role aims to transition software development in-house, starting with managing version 1.0 of proprietary software and developing version 2.0 from scratch. The Senior Full Stack Developer will have autonomy and opportunities to mentor junior programmers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy new features for the proprietary marketing platform in full stack vanilla PHP and JavaScript, focusing on version 2.0.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing codebase (version 1.0 and 1.5).
  • Collaborate with the CTO and other team members to define and implement new features.
  • Ensure the marketing platform's compliance with anti-spam policies and legal regulations.
  • Work with AWS databases and infrastructure, specifically Aurora.
  • Interact with clients as needed, with flexibility in the level of client interaction.
  • Propose improvements and innovative ideas to enhance the platform.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers as the team grows.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with PHP and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS databases and infrastructure; Aurora a plus.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining complex web applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards proposing improvements.
