Job Description

As (Senior) SAP Manager Public Sector Services, you will be responsible for:

• Operational and disciplinary leadership of a team
• Further development of the organization, as well as responsibility for talent development and employee retention
• Ensuring efficient resource planning and optimal team utilization
• Responsibility for expanding the business and tapping into new market opportunities in the public sector
• Support for business development, bidding, and contract processes through to successful completion
• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, networks, and strategic partnerships
• Overall responsibility for the project portfolio in terms of quality, budget, deadlines, and customer satisfaction
• Strategic point of contact for key accounts and the point of escalation for critical project issues
• Further Development of Project Standards, Methods, and Best Practices
• Responsibility for the further development of the product and solution portfolio in close collaboration with the development, sales, and management teams

Als (Senior) SAP Manager Public Sector Services übernimmst du:

• Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung eines Teams

• Sicherstellung einer effizienten Ressourcenplanung und optimalen Teamauslastung
• Verantwortung für den Ausbau des Geschäfts und die Erschließung neuer Marktpotenziale im öffentlichen Sektor
• Unterstützung von Akquise-, Ausschreibungs- und Vertragsprozessen bis zum erfolgreichen Abschluss
• Aufbau und Pflege langfristiger Kundenbeziehungen, Netzwerke und strategischer Partnerschaften
• Gesamtverantwortung für das Projektportfolio hinsichtlich Qualität, Budget, Terminen und Kundenzufriedenheit
• Strategischer Ansprechpartner für Schlüsselkunden sowie Eskalationsinstanz für kritische Projektthemen
• Weiterentwicklung von Projektstandards, Methoden und Best Practices
• Verantwortung für die Weiterentwicklung der Produkt- und Lösungslandschaft in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Entwicklung, Vertrieb und Management

Qualifications

• A college degree (e.g., in Business Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration) or equivalent qualification
• Several years of leadership experience in IT consulting, ideally with responsibility for teams with multiple levels of management
• Proven success in managing complex projects and building out business operations
• A comprehensive overview of industry-specific modules (e.g., PSM, PSCD) and the underlying processes
• Extensive knowledge of the public sector, particularly local governments (cities and municipalities), as well as experience with public tenders and procurement procedures
• Understanding of product development and software solutions in the public sector
• A compelling and entrepreneurial leader with strong interpersonal skills, exceptional negotiation skills, and a confident demeanor when interacting with customers, partners, and decision-makers
• Business-level German (C1) and good English skills; flexibility and willingness to travel (20–40%)

• Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (z. B. Wirtschaftsinformatik, Betriebswirtschaft, Verwaltungswissenschaften) oder vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Mehrjährige Führungserfahrung in der IT-Beratung, idealerweise mit Verantwortung für Teams mit mehreren Führungsebenen
• Nachweisbare Erfolge in der Steuerung komplexer Projekte und im Geschäftsaufbau
• Fundierter Überblick über branchenspezifische Module (z. B. PSM, PSCD) und die dahinterliegenden Prozesse
• Sehr gute Branchenkenntnisse im öffentlichen Sektor, insbesondere bei Kommunen (Städten und Gemeinden) sowie Erfahrungen mit öffentlichen Ausschreibungen und Vergabeverfahren
• Verständnis für Produktentwicklung und Softwarelösungen im Public-Sector-Umfeld
• Überzeugende und unternehmerisch geprägte Führungspersönlichkeit mit hoher Sozialkompetenz, ausgeprägtem Verhandlungsgeschick sowie souveränem Auftreten gegenüber Kunden, Partnern und Entscheidern
• Verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse (C1) und gute Englischkenntnisse Flexibilität und Reisebereitschaft (20–40%)
