As Senior Product Manager for our Clinical Pathology and Blood Bank Laboratory Information Management System portfolio in Europe (excl. UKI) working closely with other product managers globally, the post holder will be accountable for maximising product contribution to business growth across all European countries (excl. UKI), translating regional market needs, trends, regulatory considerations, competitor market placements and customer outcomes into a clear product strategy, roadmap, and measurable commercial impact. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, Support, Clinical/Domain leaders, and Engineering to drive adoption and retention, improve win rates and expansion in strategic accounts, and help prioritise the capabilities that accelerate revenue while maintaining quality, compliance, and patient-safety standards. This role owns the definition and tracking of regional product growth KPIs and ensures consistent value messaging and packaging across European markets and uses data-driven insights to continuously optimise the product to strengthen our leadership in diagnostic informatics.
The postholder must demonstrate strong regional market presence—staying close to the key European market players (customers, partners, influencers and competitors), building and maintaining an influential network of senior stakeholders, and acting as a visible product leader whose name and perspective are recognised and sought out across the market.
Responsibilities:
Own regional product growth outcomes for the Clinical Pathology and Blood Bank product portfolio by defining clear OKRs/KPIs (e.g. TAM, SAM, SOM), partnering with cross-functional leaders, and ensuring objectives tie directly to commercial, adoption, and customer value goals.
Develop, communicate, and iterate the regional product vision and multi-year roadmap, ensuring alignment to market needs, regulatory requirements, and Clinisys' global strategy.
Maintain comprehensive market intelligence by building a trusted network with key accounts, partners and influencers, analysing customer segmentation, trends, policy shifts, competitor movements, partner activity, and ecosystem changes to proactively adjust product direction.
Drive an AI-first, data-led product operating cadence (customer insights, backlog health, roadmap reviews and release readiness), continuously improving product management processes, governance and stakeholder communication.
Lead robust Voice of Customer programmes including interviews, workshops, site visits, and structured insight synthesis, ensuring customer value and pains directly shape product decisions.
Lead discovery, backlog prioritisation (alongside other product managers where applicable), and solution design with Product, Engineering, and UX, ensuring clarity of requirements, alignment on trade-offs, and delivery of high-quality, clinically safe features.
Act as a discipline/domain subject matter expert, ensuring clinical and operational requirements are accurately translated into clear product requirements and delivery decisions.
Mentor and coach junior Product Managers and Product Analysts, elevating product craft, analytical thinking, stakeholder communication, and customer-centric decision-making across the team.
Represent Product Management at regional leadership forums, influence strategic decisions, and ensure alignment between regional priorities and global product direction.
Drive regional go-to-market and ecosystem success: partner with Sales and Marketing on launches, messaging, bids/tenders and win/loss improvement; own key regional delivery partnerships (e.g., system integrators) and 3rd‑party integrations to accelerate deployments and strengthen competitive position.
Instrument and monitor product performance across usage, adoption, retention, NPS, upgrade patterns, support drivers, and commercial KPIs, driving structured improvement actions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong market orientation with the ability to navigate complex regional healthcare ecosystems, build trusted senior relationships, and represent the product at external events and executive forums.
Deep understanding of discipline-specific laboratory workflows, operational models, pain points, constraints, and clinical safety considerations relevant to LIS / LIMS usage.
Practical capability using generative and agentic AI tools to accelerate research, insight synthesis, documentation, ideation, and analysis while adhering to governance and responsible-use principles.
Highly analytical mindset with the ability to interpret usage telemetry, commercial signals, customer behaviour patterns, and operational data to inform product and commercial decisions.
Expertise in discovery and Voice of Customer practices, including hypothesis testing, structured interviews, workshop facilitation, insight synthesis, value quantification, and problem framing.
Strong product execution skills in agile environments, including writing clear requirements, breaking down ideas/epics/features, managing backlog quality, and guiding cross-functional teams through delivery.
Knowledge of healthcare standards and interoperability frameworks (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and the ability to collaborate with regulatory and quality experts to ensure compliance.
Strong commercial and strategic acumen, including understanding of pricing, packaging, tenders, RFP responses, competitive analysis, and value messaging.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, capable of communicating at executive level, facilitating complex discussions, and presenting confidently to internal and external audiences.
Required Experience & Education:
At least 3 years' experience of working as a Clinical Pathology or Blood Bank laboratory technician is essential.
MBA and/or Masters degree in Health Administration, Information Management, Engineering, Computer Science or Clinical Pathology / Blood Bank is essential.
Strong experience of at least 3 years as a Product Manager in a software development organisation or equivalent relevant business experience through roles in sales, marketing, product development, implementation and/or support of CliniSys products, is essential.
Recognised thought leader in the Clinical Pathology and / or Blood Bank industry that has presented at trade shows / conferences, has a network of contacts and has a pulse on the market’s direction is essential.
Hands‑on experience working with Generative AI technologies is essential, either within the product management or other operational toolset or through self‑directed experimentation or side projects.
Product Focus, Pragmatic Marketing or other product management certification is desirable.
Experience of using Aha! Roadmaps for tracking Product Management activities such as setting strategy and prioritizing features is desirable.
Experience of using Clinisys Laboratory Information Management Systems products is desirable.
Location: Belgium
Salary: €105,444 - €158,166 (per annum, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications)
