The Opportunity

This is not a traditional purchasing role. For the right person, this is an opportunity to build and own a strategic procurement function at the center of a rapidly growing cloud infrastructure business.

As an experienced Senior Procurement Leader, you will own and drive our strategic sourcing and supplier relationships across cloud and data center infrastructure.

We are looking for a highly commercial, technically credible procurement executive who can operate at senior levels with the world's leading technology OEMs and infrastructure suppliers. You will negotiate major commercial agreements, build strategic vendor relationships, secure capacity and supply, and ensure Denvr achieves highly competitive economics as we continue to scale our infrastructure platform.

The role will span compute (GPUs and accelerated servers), high-performance networking, storage, and specialized data center infrastructure, including colocation, power delivery, HVAC/cooling systems, and modular facility construction, with end-to-end ownership of commercial strategy and key vendor partnerships.

You should be equally comfortable negotiating a complex multi-million-dollar hardware agreement, discussing product roadmaps with an OEM executive, challenging commercial and contractual terms, and working internally with engineering, finance and executive leadership on infrastructure strategy.

The Mission

Denvr isn’t building traditional data centers; we are manufacturing the future of AI infrastructure - building next-generation cloud infrastructure for demanding compute workloads.

As we scale, strategic procurement becomes a significant competitive advantage. The economics we achieve with OEMs, the capacity we can secure, the relationships we develop and the speed at which we can deploy infrastructure all directly influence our ability to compete.

This role will have significant visibility and influence across the company and will work closely with executive leadership, engineering, finance and operations.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Procurement & Commercial Negotiation

  • Lead strategic sourcing and procurement for major infrastructure categories, including:
  • GPU and accelerated compute platforms
  • Enterprise and hyperscale server infrastructure
  • High-speed networking, switching, and interconnect
  • High-performance storage platforms and specialized infrastructure software / parallel file systems
  • Data center colocation leases, high-density power commitments, and IP transit / dark fiber
  • Maintenance, warranties, and lifecycle support services
  • Other strategic hardware and infrastructure required to operate and expand our cloud platform
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership, commercial terms, supply availability, performance and long-term strategic value.
  • Lead negotiations for significant capital purchases, framework agreements, volume commitments and strategic supplier arrangements.
  • Create competitive tension across vendors and ensure Denvr understands the true market economics of the equipment and services we procure.

OEM & Strategic Supplier Relationships

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major OEMs, component manufacturers, colocation providers, and channel partners (e.g., NVIDIA, Supermicro, Dell, Equinix, Arista)
  • Leverage partner relationships to optimize pricing structures, hardware allocations, lead times, financing terms, roadmap visibility, and early access to emerging technologies.

Use those relationships to improve:

  • Pricing and discount structures
  • Allocation and product availability
  • Lead times
  • Payment and financing terms
  • Warranty and support arrangements
  • Product roadmap visibility
  • Early access to new technologies
  • Capacity commitments
  • Escalation paths
  • Strategic partnership opportunities

Infrastructure Economics

  • Work closely with Finance, Engineering and Operations to understand the economics of our infrastructure at a detailed level.
  • Evaluate purchasing decisions based not simply on unit price, but on lifecycle cost, density, power consumption, utilization, support costs, deployment timelines and revenue-generating capability.
  • Develop robust commercial models for major infrastructure investments and provide leadership with clear recommendations and alternatives.
  • Identify opportunities to materially improve infrastructure cost per unit of compute and overall return on invested capital.

Supply Chain & Capacity Planning

  • Translate infrastructure growth forecasts into forward-looking procurement and capacity pipelines.
  • Anticipate supply constraints and develop multi-sourcing strategies to mitigate hardware allocation risks.
  • Maintain deep visibility into OEM manufacturing cycles, component lead times, product roadmaps, and end-of-life schedules.

Contracts & Commercial Governance

  • Lead commercial contract structuring in close alignment with Legal and Finance, focusing on SLAs, liability, price protection, and supply guarantees.
  • Establish standard procurement workflows, approval thresholds, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Ensure supplier alignment with Denvr’s Supplier Code of Conduct, security standards, and background verification requirements.

Who You Are

The Person

  • Commercial & Analytical: Deeply understands technology go-to-market models, OEM margin structures, and where commercial leverage exists.
  • Technically Conversant: Comfortable bridging technical engineering specifications with C-suite commercial negotiations.
  • Constructive Challenger: Confident testing assumptions and pushing both internal teams and external partners for optimal outcomes.
  • High-Growth Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment where hardware architectures, lead times, and capacity demands change quickly.

Qualifications

As an experienced procurement, sourcing or commercial leader with a strong track record in cloud infrastructure, hyperscale computing, data centers, telecommunications or enterprise technology hardware, ideally, you bring:

  • 10+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or commercial leadership experience focused on data center hardware, hyperscale cloud, or enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Proven track record negotiating complex, multi-million-dollar hardware, colocation, and software contracts.
  • Established executive network across the data center, server OEM, networking, and component supplier ecosystems.
  • Deep knowledge of GPU/accelerated computing architectures, high-performance networking, and data center economics.
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities, including TCO analysis and capital investment evaluation.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and executive presentation skills.
  • Executive presence to represent Denvr alongside senior leadership at major global technology companies.

If you are passionate about technology, system design and innovative technical solutions, and want to be part of a remote-first forward-thinking company, Denvr would love to hear from you.
