About Cloudsmith

Cloudsmith is the world’s most powerful artifact management platform. Software organizations of all sizes rely on Cloudsmith to control and secure their software supply chains. Cloudsmith allows customers to manage curated private repositories that proxy public open-source software registries. Developers use these repositories as their trusted source for build artifacts. We support over 30 formats, including the most popular languages, package managers, operating systems, and AI and container protocols.

We’re aimed at the enterprise, with built-in comprehensive security and advanced features for policy enforcement, integrations, and observability. Customers consider Cloudsmith critical infrastructure, a central part of their software build chain.

Cloudsmith is built by developers, for developers. We treasure the developer experience. The Tao of Cloudsmith expresses the values we live by every day. This is a special company, and now is a great time to join us.

The Role

As Sr. Demand Generation Marketing Manager, you’ll own the strategy and execution of multi-channel programs designed to generate pipeline at scale. You’ll focus on reaching and engaging our core audiences - platform engineers and security engineers in cloud-native organizations - through multi-channel campaigns, lifecycle marketing, and evergreen digital programs. Your work will accelerate brand awareness, nurture prospects through the funnel, and build momentum across the buyer journey.

Key Responsibilities

Campaigns

  • Own planning of campaigns and product launches that extend across channels that include but are not limited to email, social, webinars, paid, video, and the website.

  • Work with Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Sales so campaign themes support current product priorities and GTM messaging.

  • Define the objective, target persona(s), buying stages, and success metrics for each campaign before work starts. Package that information into briefs that our marketing and brand team can use to inform planning of their deliverables.

  • Brief marketing and brand teams on assets and messaging frameworks for each initiative.

  • Plan and oversee creation of digital programs within campaigns built to generate pipeline: partner co-marketing, webinars, long-form content, interactive web experiences.

  • Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across performance marketing, content, product marketing, brand, and website teams.

Digital Program Execution

  • Liaise with external partners, internal speakers, and public relations firms on content creation and webinar preparation/execution.

  • Build landing pages, emails, and promotional materials to support the distribution of webinars and long-form content.

Lifecycle and email

  • Build and manage ongoing email and lifecycle programs to help sustain an engaged database of prospects and customers.

  • Improve the performance of our email newsletter programs.

  • Improve email health and performance through regular testing and workflow optimization.

Measurement

  • Monitor the impact of programs and campaigns on engagement and pipeline generation.

  • Report on campaign performance and use those findings to shape future plans.

Required Experience, Qualities & Skills

  • 6+ years in B2B SaaS demand generation or campaign marketing, including at least 2 years owning programs tied to pipeline targets, not just lead volume

  • Experience marketing to technical buyers (developers, DevOps, platform engineering, or security), ideally for a developer tools, security, or infrastructure software company

  • Hands-on experience building and running email, lifecycle, and nurture programs in a marketing automation platform

  • Experience running multi-channel campaigns across email, webinars, video, social, and written content, and managing several programs and their dependencies at once

  • Proficiency with using AI to automate and/or enhance the work you do

  • Experience running partner co-marketing programs

  • Working knowledge of campaign reporting and experience in leading campaign retrospectives or feedback sessions.

  • Ability to write clear briefs and to review email, landing page, and campaign copy for technical audiences

  • Ability to explain technical concepts and messaging priorities to Product Marketing, DevRel, Sales, and design counterparts, and to translate their input into campaign plans

  • Comfortable pushing back when planning strays from the intended outcome of a campaign or scope is not within reach

  • Familiarity with software supply chain security, CI/CD, or package management is a plus, but not required

Cultural Values We're Looking For

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to develop a campaign from early concept to final tactics that helps meet marketing objectives like brand awareness or pipeline creation.

  • Clear Communication and organization: Writes briefs and gives feedback specific enough that design, content, and PMM can act on them without another meeting. Can keep a team of marketers on track and organized.

  • Growth mindset: Ability to continue to evolve how we go to market. Someone who doesn’t just do something because it's the way it was done before.

  • Curiosity: Learns how our product and software supply chain security work well enough to ideate on activities and distribution that will resonate with buyers. Constantly learns and develops their own marketing skills.

Benefits, Location & Work Environment

Note: You must be based in Ireland, the United Kingdom, or the USA and have the right to work independently without requiring sponsorship.

Headlines

  • A highly competitive compensation package, including pre-IPO equity.

  • Comprehensive private healthcare plans.

  • Generous annual leave and flexible working practices to suit your lifestyle.

  • A professional development budget for conferences and training.

  • Regular (monthly-ish) travel may be required for team meetings.

  • Regular (quarterly-ish) travel may also be required for events and customers.

Health and Wellness

Regardless of your location, we deeply care about the health and wellness of our staff and their families; a sustainable pace is important to us. In addition to generous annual leave (PTO), we offer health and well-being benefits and flexible, family-friendly work policies.

Personal Growth

You will have an enormous opportunity to learn new skills alongside your colleagues, and your continued professional development is essential to us because it's important to you. We will support you with budgets for equipment, training, books, conferences, travel, and certifications. The more powerful you become, the better for all of us.

Facilities

Cloudsmith is headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with fully-equipped office space that’s open 24/7. We use our H.Q. regularly for activities like working sessions, team planning, meet-and-greets, and sometimes other group activities. We also hold company off-sites in Belfast twice a year, featuring guest speakers and team activities. Many Cloudsmithers work remotely, so we rely on our online collaboration tools; Slack, Google Docs, Linear, and other popular collaboration tools are how we work.

About Equal Opportunity

Cloudsmith is an equal opportunity employer, proud to nurture a diverse workplace that welcomes applications from individuals of all races, genders, and ethnic groups. We do not discriminate based on age, religion, sexual orientation, citizenship status, military service, or health conditions. We will not tolerate discrimination of any kind within our workforce.

The Final Word

We’re looking for someone who can rally the marketing team behind a strategic vision of how to engage buyers, has experience building campaigns and lifecycle programs that engineers engage with, and is fearless about rolling up their sleeves when needed. We’re critical infrastructure built by developers for developers, building the world’s software supply chain platform and ecosystem. We want to hear from you if you’re excited to build the demand engine behind software supply chain security with a lasting impact on the software industry from today until IPO and beyond.
