Position Summary

ProSearch is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Strategic Finance & FP&A leader to support executive decision-making across Finance, Sales, Service Delivery, Product, and Technology.

This role goes beyond traditional budgeting and reporting. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic business partner, helping leadership evaluate pricing strategies, customer profitability, service-line economics, technology investments, and capital allocation decisions. This includes both evaluating historical and current business performance using data and developing forward-looking models and scenarios to support future strategic decisions.

The role will also act as the primary finance partner to ProSearch's Technology organization, providing financial support for infrastructure planning, technology investments, ROI analysis, and operating efficiency initiatives.

Success in this role requires a combination of financial modeling expertise, business acumen, operational understanding, and the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for company leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Pricing & Commercial Finance

  • Lead financial analysis supporting large client opportunities, MSA renewals, and strategic pricing decisions.
  • Partner with Sales and Service Delivery leadership to evaluate complex deal structures and customer economics.
  • Develop pricing models that balance market competitiveness, delivery costs, technology costs, and profitability objectives.
  • Support the development of standardized, bundled, and productized service offerings.
  • Build financial business cases for new services, offerings, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue quality, margin profile, and operating leverage.

Profitability & Business Analytics

  • Own and enhance profitability models across customers, service lines, technology platforms, and major cost drivers.
  • Maintain and continuously improve allocation methodologies supporting management decision-making.
  • Develop actionable insights regarding:
    • Customer profitability
    • Service-line profitability
    • Technology economics
    • Pricing effectiveness
    • Margin performance
    • Resource utilization
  • Partner with business leaders to identify operational and financial improvement opportunities and develop forward-looking financial analyses, profitability scenarios, and strategic recommendations supporting growth, service evolution, and investment decisions
  • Translate large datasets into executive-ready recommendations and business insights.

Technology Finance & Strategic Investment Analysis

  • Serve as the primary FP&A business partner to Technology leadership.
  • Evaluate AI, infrastructure, software, cybersecurity, data center, and cloud-related investments.
  • Develop ROI analyses and business cases for technology initiatives.
  • Support technology roadmap planning and capital allocation discussions.
  • Analyze technology spending trends and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Help leadership prioritize investments based on strategic and financial impact.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Develop driver-based financial models supporting revenue, margin, and expense planning.
  • Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling for key business initiatives.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and resource planning activities.
  • Maintain forecasting methodologies and improve forecast accuracy across the organization.

Executive Reporting & Decision Support

  • Own management reporting and executive analytics.
  • Partner with business and operational leaders to align financial reporting with operational performance metrics and business outcomes.
  • Develop financial and operational insights supporting Board, lender, and management reporting.
  • Identify and explain key drivers of variances in revenue, margin, profitability, and operating expenses.
  • Support executive leadership with strategic analyses and ad hoc decision support.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a concise and actionable manner.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Accounting, Service Delivery, Sales, Product, and Technology leaders.
  • Work collaboratively with the Controller and Accounting team to ensure management reporting and profitability analysis align with underlying financial data.
  • Support continuous improvement of financial planning, reporting, and analytical processes.
  • Help establish scalable frameworks for measuring profitability, resource allocation, and investment returns.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or related analytical roles.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience operating in complex pricing and commercial environments involving multiple service offerings, cost structures, and customer arrangements.
  • Experience supporting organizations undergoing significant business transformation, operational change, scaling initiatives, or technology modernization efforts.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills.
  • Experience building budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to convert complex financial analyses into business recommendations.
  • Experience working directly with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience in legal technology, SaaS, technology-enabled services, consulting, or other analytical service businesses.
  • Experience supporting technology organizations or evaluating technology investments.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure economics and enterprise technology spending.
