Senior Manager, Enablement Learning Experience (remote)

Role Summary 

The Senior Manager, Enablement Learning Experience is a key member of the Sales Enablement organization responsible for turning business needs, subject-matter expertise, and enablement strategy into high-impact learning experiences. 

This is not a traditional instructional design role. We are looking for an experienced enablement professional who is also an exceptional builder—someone who understands sales, knows how adults learn, and can translate complex ideas into simple, engaging experiences that help sellers and leaders perform differently. 

This person will serve as a shared learning-experience resource across Enablement, partnering with Global Programs, Field Readiness, and other members of the team to architect and build scalable learning solutions. The role will have particular responsibility for expanding our self-paced and digital learning capabilities while also contributing to live workshops, blended learning journeys, presentations, video, and performance-support resources. 

The right person is equally comfortable meeting with a senior subject-matter expert, defining learning objectives, developing a learning architecture, building an e-learning experience, editing video, or creating a polished executive-quality PowerPoint deck. 

What You’ll Do 

Build High-Impact Learning Experiences 

• Design and develop engaging self-paced learning experiences that translate complex concepts into practical, actionable learning. 

• Build digital learning using tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, or comparable authoring platforms. 

• Create and edit video, audio, graphics, presentations, and other multimedia components to support modern learning experiences. 

• Develop highly polished PowerPoint presentations and facilitator materials for live and virtual enablement. 

• Build supporting resources including job aids, practice activities, assessments, reinforcement, and point-of-need performance support. 

• Ensure learning experiences are practical, engaging, concise, and grounded in the realities of the sales environment. 

Architect Learning Journeys 

• Partner with Enablement leaders to translate business priorities into effective learning strategies and experiences. 

• Define clear learning and behavioral objectives tied to the outcomes a program is intended to achieve. 

• Help architect blended learning journeys incorporating self-paced learning, live workshops, practice, application, reinforcement, manager involvement, and performance support. 

• Recommend the right learning modality based on the audience, desired behavior change, business need, and complexity of the content. 

• Apply adult-learning and learning-experience-design principles without over-engineering solutions. 

Partner with Subject-Matter Experts 

• Work directly with subject-matter experts across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and other functions to extract expertise and translate it into compelling learning. 

• Lead structured working sessions with SMEs to identify what learners truly need to know and do. 

• Simplify complex or highly technical material without losing its substance. 

• Provide thoughtful recommendations and challenge content when necessary to keep learning focused on the intended audience and business outcome. 

• Build credibility with senior stakeholders and independently manage the content-development process from discovery through delivery. 

Serve as a Shared Enablement Resource 

• Partner closely with Global Programs, Field Readiness, and other Enablement functions to bring programs and initiatives to life. 

• Provide learning-experience expertise across multiple concurrent enablement initiatives. 

• Establish repeatable templates, standards, and approaches that improve the quality and consistency of Enablement deliverables. 

• Help the broader Enablement team determine when to build, reuse, adapt, or simplify learning solutions. 

• Create scalable assets that can be adapted across segments, audiences, and programs. 

Leverage Enablement & Learning Technology 

• Build, publish, manage, and maintain learning experiences within Seismic and other learning and enablement platforms. 

• Leverage LMS functionality to organize curricula and learning journeys, manage assignments, and track completion and engagement. 

• Help establish scalable standards for digital learning development, publishing, maintenance, and governance. 

• Evaluate emerging learning technologies and capabilities and identify practical opportunities to improve the learner experience and increase development efficiency. 

Manage the Work 

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different programs, stakeholders, and deadlines. 

• Establish clear development plans, milestones, dependencies, and review cycles. 

• Balance speed and quality, recognizing when an asset requires significant production and when a simpler solution will achieve the desired outcome. 

• Maintain and update learning assets as programs, messaging, processes, and business priorities evolve. 

What We’re Looking For 

• 5+ years of experience in sales enablement, revenue enablement, or a closely related enablement function. 

• Demonstrated experience personally building enablement programs and learning experiences—not simply managing external vendors or instructional designers. 

• Strong hands-on expertise with digital learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, or equivalent. 

• Experience creating and editing video and multimedia learning content. 

• Advanced PowerPoint skills and a strong eye for information design, visual storytelling, and presentation quality. 

• Experience working with learning management systems and sales enablement platforms; Seismic experience is highly desirable. 

• Strong understanding of adult learning, learning-experience design, curriculum development, and blended-learning principles. 

• Demonstrated ability to establish clear learning objectives and translate them into practical learning experiences and assessments. 

• Experience working directly with subject-matter experts and senior stakeholders to develop content. 

• Strong understanding of sales environments and the needs of sellers and sales leaders. 

• Excellent written communication, editing, and content-simplification skills. 

• Strong project-management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. 

• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and not every process or tool has already been established. 

• Highly collaborative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and willing to personally build.

Preferred Experience 

• Experience supporting complex, consultative, services, or B2B sales organizations. 

• Experience with Seismic Learning or comparable enablement and learning platforms. 

• Experience building curricula for multiple sales roles, segments, or stages of the seller journey. 

• Experience creating scenario-based learning, simulations, practice experiences, and assessments. 

• Experience helping establish or scale digital-learning capabilities within an enablement organization. 

What Success Looks Like 

Success in this role means becoming the person the Enablement organization turns to when an important idea needs to become an exceptional learning experience. 

You will take expertise that may initially exist in a subject-matter expert’s head, a PowerPoint deck, a process document, or a business strategy and turn it into something sellers and leaders can understand, practice, and use. 

You won’t simply build what you’re handed. You’ll ask what people need to do differently, determine the best way to help them get there, and then build an experience that makes that happen. 

Your work will allow the broader Enablement organization to move faster, scale further, and deliver consistently high-quality learning experiences across the business.

Axiom’s total rewards philosophy is to be transparent and equitable with all job candidates. The annual base salary range for this Senior Manager-level role in Chicago is $140,000–$170,000 + 20% bonus depending on experience.
