Manage a portfolio of Google and Microsoft Ads accounts by executing campaign strategies, optimizing budgets, and improving landing pages. Conduct proactive performance monitoring and root-cause analysis to ensure high-quality lead generation for home-service clients.
Target start: January 4, 2027.
Our client is a marketing agency helping home-service contractors grow through search marketing. Our clients include pressure washing, roofing, exterior cleaning, and Christmas lighting businesses.
These are owner-operated businesses where reliable leads keep crews working and trucks moving. Our clients care about whether their marketing brings real business opportunities—and we do too.
We’re hiring two Senior Google Ads Strategists to own portfolios of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts. You’ll have the authority to make decisions and the responsibility to explain their impact.
You’ll manage approximately 20–30 accounts, typically spending $2,000–$4,000 per month each. These are small-budget, often seasonal accounts where strong judgment matters more than relying on automation.
We’re looking for someone who identifies problems, proposes solutions, and takes action without waiting for a task list.
Account strategy and execution: Manage campaign structure, budgets, bidding, keywords, negative keywords, ad copy, and landing page improvements across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
Proactive performance monitoring: Spot changes in lead volume, cost per lead, lead quality, and conversion tracking before a client raises a concern.
Root-cause analysis: Investigate whether declining performance comes from tracking issues, search queries, bidding, landing pages, competition, seasonality, or account changes.
Weekly account reviews: Each Monday, prepare a written analysis and revision plan for priority accounts. Explain what you expect your changes to achieve, then review the actual outcome the following week.
Accurate comparisons: Use the appropriate year-over-year period to assess seasonal performance and distinguish meaningful trends from short-term fluctuations.
Documentation and processes: Record what you changed and why as you work. Turn repeatable solutions into SOPs and share useful findings with the team.
You’ll independently make day-to-day account decisions. Revision plans for accounts on the weekly priority list must be reviewed with your manager before implementation.
Success means generating qualified leads that contribute to client revenue, using budgets effectively, and catching issues early.
5+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience, with strong Search campaign expertise and experience generating leads for local or service businesses.
Google Ads as your primary specialism, with the ability to manage Microsoft Ads accounts.
Experience independently managing multiple accounts. Agency or freelance experience is particularly relevant.
Strong analytical judgment with small budgets and low conversion volumes. You know when the evidence supports a decision and when there is too little data to draw a reliable conclusion.
Confidence diagnosing conversion tracking issues and learning new analytics tools.
Clear documentation habits and the ability to explain your decisions.
Strong English for team collaboration, written analysis, and occasional client emails.
A proactive, collaborative approach: you take ownership, raise issues early, and remain open to feedback.
Availability for at least four hours of overlap with US Eastern Time. Our Ads Manager typically works 7 AM–4 PM ET.
Experience with home-service contractor accounts is a bonus. Your strongest evidence should come from Search-led lead generation.
State-of-the-Art Innovation: Bring hypotheses, testing ideas, and tools that could improve client results.
Efficiency: Turn repeatable work into better processes and scalable systems.
Attention to Detail: “Finished means no one has to fix it.” Take responsibility for accurate tracking, campaign setup, and documentation.
Results Driven: Focus on qualified leads and business outcomes.
Collaboration: Share your findings and help improve the team’s expertise.
Happy Clients: Catch performance issues early and communicate clearly.
Fully remote work for candidates based in Europe.
Performance bonuses paid in May and November, up to 10% of annual salary, based on achieving your KPIs.
15 days of paid time off in your first year, plus one additional day for each year with us. This allowance includes sick and personal days and is prorated by your start date.
Paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the Christmas Eve–New Year period.
A company closure during the final week of the year.
Authority to manage your accounts and a manager who values collaboration and informed decisions.
The process includes a recruiter interview, a conversation with the hiring team, and a short practical assessment. You’ll be asked to analyze an account, compare performance against the correct year-over-year period, and explain your recommendations.
