The Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer (Platform) to build the enterprise platform that Simbian's AI agents
run on.
This role is about delivering platform infrastructure that enterprise customers can depend on - multi
tenant architecture, access control, release quality, and the engineering practices that make all of it
sustainable at scale.
You will design and build core platform features, ship on a predictable cadence, and raise the engineering
bar across the team. You'll work closely with product, security, and AI engineering teams to ensure the
platform keeps pace with a rapidly evolving product.
What You'll Do
Platform Engineering
- Design and build multi-tenant platform capabilities that securely isolate and serve multiple enterprise
customers at scale.
- Implement and evolve RBAC and access-control systems across the platform.
- Own platform features end-to-end - from architecture and implementation through deployment,
monitoring, and iteration in production.
- Build for reliability, observability, and maintainability from the start.
Delivery & Release Quality
- Ship on a regular release cadence; keep delivery predictable and visible to the team.
- Maintain high code quality: participate actively in design reviews, hold the bar in code reviews, and
write well-tested code.
- Partner with the SDET on testability - ensure new features are built in ways that make automated testing
straightforward.
- Identify and reduce sources of unpredictability in the release process
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Build and deploy services on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to make deployments reliable and fast.
- Design systems with strong observability, traceability, and monitoring so failures are easy to detect and
debug.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work across a full-stack web codebase; contribute on both backend and frontend where needed.
- Partner with product, AI engineering, and security teams to turn platform requirements into working
systems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions as the platform evolves and scales.
Requirements
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
- Have 6–10 years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record in backend or full-stack
platform development.
- Have built multi-tenant or SaaS platforms before and understand the tradeoffs involved in getting
isolation, performance, and access control rights.
- Care about delivery as much as design - you ship consistently and hold yourself accountable for the
team's cadence.
- Raise the engineering bar naturally: you give useful code review feedback, flag design issues early, and
write code others can build on.
- Are comfortable operating with autonomy - scoping work, making tradeoffs, and driving execution
without needing detailed specs.
- Enjoy working across a codebase and collaborating closely with teammates across disciplines.
Must Have
- 6–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong backend development experience, preferably with Python; full-stack experience a plus.
- Proven experience building multi-tenant or SaaS platforms at scale.
- Hands-on experience with RBAC or similar access-control systems.
- Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, APIs, and backend architecture.
- Ownership mindset and ability to drive features from zero to production. - Strong instincts around code quality, testability, and engineering practices.
Bonus / Great to Have
- Experience with security products - SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, or similar enterprise security platforms.
- Experience working with LLM-powered or agentic systems.
- Frontend experience with React.
- Experience with agent observability, tracing, or production monitoring.
- Strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field; graduates from IITs or other top
tier engineering institutions preferred
Benefits
- Build the enterprise platform that an AI-first cybersecurity product runs on - from the ground up.
- Work at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and distributed systems.
- Own meaningful platform problems end-to-end and see your work go directly into production.
- Work directly with founders, researchers, security experts, and engineering leaders.
- Be part of an early team where your technical decisions and ideas can have outsized impact.
- Ship fast, learn fast, and build systems that matter.
