AI Summary

The Senior Director will lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Evo Tech Platform while managing relationships with external technology partners. They will act as the central product lead, translating business and user needs into actionable requirements and driving execution across cross-functional teams.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Director, Platform Product to lead the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of the Evo Tech Platform.

This person will serve as the senior internal product leader for the initiative, responsible for shaping the vision, understanding business and user needs, translating those needs into clear product priorities, and driving the roadmap from concept through launch and continued evolution.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the company to understand requirements, align priorities, and ensure the product supports both user needs and business objectives. You will also serve as the primary product counterpart to external technology partners supporting the initiative, helping set direction, make product decisions, and drive delivery against agreed goals.

This is not an engineering leadership role. You will not be expected to manage an engineering organization or own software architecture or infrastructure. You should, however, be technically fluent enough to work effectively with technical teams and partners, understand tradeoffs, ask the right questions, and translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

At our size, this is a hands-on product leadership role. The right person is comfortable moving between long-term strategy, stakeholder alignment, product requirements, prioritization, partner management, and launch execution.

Although we are a remote company, this role must reside in the Greater Los Angeles, Greater San Francisco, or Greater Las Vegas area.

  • Translate business goals, user needs, and operational requirements into clear product priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Define product scope and priorities, including what should be built now versus later.
  • Make clear tradeoffs across user experience, business value, timing, complexity, and cost.
  • Keep the roadmap current as business needs, user feedback, data, and technical considerations evolve.
  • Provide clear recommendations to leadership on major product decisions and priorities.
Stakeholder & Requirements Leadership
  • Serve as the central product lead across the company for the initiative.
  • Work closely with leaders, subject-matter experts, users, and operators to understand business needs, workflows, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Lead discovery sessions and product discussions that turn stakeholder input into clear requirements and priorities.
  • Separate requested features from the underlying problem that needs to be solved and recommend the best product approach.
  • Reconcile competing needs across teams and drive alignment around product decisions.
  • Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, progress, and risks clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
External Partner & Delivery Management
  • Serve as the primary product counterpart to the external technology partner supporting the initiative.
  • Translate product priorities into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery expectations.
  • Establish an effective working rhythm for planning, product reviews, milestones, decisions, and escalation.
  • Maintain visibility into scope, budget, schedule, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery progress.
  • Review and challenge product and technical recommendations when appropriate.
  • Hold partners accountable for agreed outcomes, quality, documentation, and timelines.
  • Identify issues early and work across internal and external teams to resolve them.
Technical Product Leadership
  • Work effectively with technical teams and partners to make informed product decisions.
  • Understand the practical impact of technical choices and help translate those choices into business and product considerations.
  • Evaluate technology options and third-party solutions when needed.
  • Ensure technical decisions support a strong user experience, reliability, scalability, and long-term flexibility.
  • Ask the right questions and help ensure technical recommendations align with product goals without acting as the engineering owner.
Launch & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead product readiness for launches, pilots, and major releases.
  • Coordinate cross-functional testing, acceptance, and launch readiness.
  • Define clear measures of success and monitor product performance and user feedback.
  • Lead post-launch reviews and turn lessons learned into product improvements.
  • Use data and user feedback to inform future product priorities.
  • Participate in key launches and major events when appropriate.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive product management experience, including ownership of complex digital products, platforms, or major product initiatives.
  • Experience operating at a Director, Senior Director, Head of Product, or equivalent senior product leadership level.
  • Demonstrated experience taking a significant digital product or platform from early planning through development, launch, and continued improvement.
  • Strong experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, priorities, requirements, launches, and product performance.
  • Experience working across multiple teams and senior stakeholders to understand business needs, resolve competing priorities, and drive clear product decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business and user needs into clear product requirements and an actionable roadmap.
  • Experience leading major product initiatives delivered with external technology or development partners.
  • Strong technical fluency and comfort working with engineering and technology teams without needing to be the engineer making technical decisions.
  • Ability to understand technical tradeoffs and explain their business and product impact clearly.
  • Experience evaluating technology options, third-party solutions, and external partners.
  • Strong judgment, communication, organization, and prioritization skills in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable moving between long-term product strategy and hands-on execution.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for major events, launches, partner meetings, and other key milestones.

Bonus Points
  • Experience in gaming, esports, live events, media, entertainment, community platforms, marketplaces, or other consumer technology businesses.
  • Experience building or leading products used in high-traffic, time-sensitive, or operationally complex environments.
  • Experience with products that serve multiple user groups, including consumers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-region digital products.
  • Experience working in a startup, high-growth, or entrepreneurial organization.
  • Experience building, managing, or mentoring product teams.
  • Experience with platform, event, registration, ticketing, identity, loyalty, or content products.
  • Familiarity with gaming communities or the fighting game community is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

This role has a salary range of $190,000 to $225,000 USD, depending on experience, skill set, and location.

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance
  • 401k plan available for employee contributions
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Generous PTO and company-observed holidays
  • Remote-first culture
