Job Summary
The Senior Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing new business opportunities for Spaulding Clinical Research. This role builds and maintains relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other healthcare organizations while promoting Spaulding's Clinical Pharmacology, Cardiac Core Lab, and Biometrics services. The Senior Business Development Representative manages opportunities throughout the sales cycle, collaborates with internal subject matter experts, and maintains accurate pipeline and customer information to support revenue growth and long-term client relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, research, and develop relationships with prospective clients through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, networking, and other business development activities.
Qualify leads and independently manage opportunities through the sales pipeline from initial contact through proposal, award, and handoff to the appropriate internal teams.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients to generate new and repeat business.
Promote Spaulding's Clinical Pharmacology, Cardiac Core Lab, and Biometrics services based on client needs and study requirements.
Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Project Management, Medical, Biometrics, and other subject matter experts to develop appropriate client solutions and responses to business opportunities.
Coordinate and support proposals, requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), presentations, and client meetings.
Maintain accurate and timely account, contact, activity, and opportunity information within Hubspot or other designated CRM systems.
Monitor sales pipeline activity, follow up on opportunities, and work toward established business development and revenue goals.
Represent Spaulding Clinical Research at industry conferences, trade shows, meetings, and networking events to build relationships and generate new opportunities.
Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional services and cross-selling.
Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive activity, and market opportunities and communicate relevant insights to leadership.
Support the development of strategic relationships and partnerships that may generate new business opportunities.
Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, events, educational programs, and other initiatives that support lead generation and brand awareness.
Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding Spaulding's capabilities, services, and competitive position.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Three to five years of experience in business development, sales, account management, clinical research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or a related industry.
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales or business development goals.
Experience selling clinical research or related services preferred.
Knowledge of Phase I Clinical Pharmacology, Cardiac Core Lab, or Biometrics services preferred.

Ability to travel up to 40% or as business needs require.
