The Senior Advisor provides operational leadership and technical support for integrated health programs, focusing on outbreak response and field operations in Francophone Africa. They are responsible for developing operational protocols, managing budgets, and coordinating with HQ and field teams to ensure effective program delivery.
Job Summary:
Working under the direction of the Program Director, the Senior Advisor for Field Operations and Surge Management will provide operational leadership, technical assistance, and implementation support across FHI 360 Health Programs, with a particular focus on Francophone Africa, complex integrated health programs, and outbreak response. The Advisor will support field operations, including temporary oversight of country office management; lead the development and implementation of SOPs and operational best practices; and support safeguarding, health and safety, security, and risk management to ensure compliant and effective program delivery. The Advisor will also prepare donor documentation and contribute to key deliverables, lead recruitment efforts for staff and consultants, and coordinate closely with country teams, HQ, government stakeholders, and donors to support the rapid implementation of critical health services and emergency response activities. This is a remote position with regular travels expected in Africa including the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The expected hiring salary range for this role is XOF 40,000,000 - 50,000,000 for annual basic salary for national local hire. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, market pay, and budget. For internal candidates, salary placement will also follow FHI 360’s current promotional increase guidelines.
