About the role

We are looking for a Sales Manager to develop TRG's business across African government markets.

This role is for someone who already understands how government business is done in the region and brings active relationships within law enforcement, intelligence, defense, security institutions, ministries, and other relevant government bodies.

You will own complex B2G sales cycles from opportunity identification through contract signature, navigating government procurement, budget cycles, local stakeholders, partners, and regulatory requirements.

This is not simply a product-selling role. Success requires relationships, market knowledge, procurement fluency, and the ability to convert opportunities into long-term government business.

What you'll work on

• Develop and manage TRG's B2G sales pipeline across African markets, from qualification through contract signature.
• Activate and develop existing relationships within law enforcement, intelligence, defense, security institutions, ministries, and other government agencies.
• Identify and close new business opportunities for TRG's solutions.
• Navigate government procurement processes, including RFPs/RFIs, public tenders, framework agreements, vendor qualification, budget cycles, and other relevant procurement mechanisms.
• Build country and opportunity prioritization based on market potential, government priorities, budget availability, and political developments.
• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and commercial negotiations.
• Build and manage relationships with local partners, integrators, agents, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Develop appropriate market-entry and engagement strategies for individual countries.
• Work closely with TRG's Solution Architecture, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Delivery teams throughout the sales process.
• Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting.
• Meet assigned sales targets and strategic objectives.
• Represent TRG at relevant regional and international government, security, and law-enforcement events.
• Travel extensively across the territory to develop and maintain customer relationships.

What we look for

• 5+ years of B2G sales experience, with a proven track record of selling to government customers.
• Strong direct sales experience within African government markets.
• An active and current network within law enforcement, intelligence, defense, security institutions, ministries, or other relevant government bodies in the region.
• Demonstrated knowledge of government procurement, tender procedures, budget cycles, and decision-making processes.
• Proven experience personally leading and closing complex, high-value government deals with long sales cycles.
• Experience working with local partners, agents, distributors, and/or system integrators.
• Experience selling software, cybersecurity, analytics, intelligence platforms, or other complex technology solutions is strongly preferred.
• Previous professional experience within intelligence, security, law enforcement, defense, or government institutions is considered a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of local market dynamics and stakeholder environments.
• Fluent English; French and/or other relevant regional languages are a strong advantage, depending on territory coverage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Africa.
• Highly independent, proactive, and results-oriented.
