About the Business

We are hiring for a London-based surveying practice selling RICS home surveys to UK property buyers.

The business offers two main survey types:

• RICS Level 2 (HomeBuyer) Survey: For standard, modern homes in reasonable condition.
  

• RICS Level 3 (Building) Survey: For older, larger, altered or run-down homes.
  

Purpose of the Role

This is a focused sales-closing role with one product and one job: selling RICS home surveys to UK property buyers.

The Sales Closer will call buyers who have just had an offer accepted and requested a survey quote, work out which level their property needs, and close the booking on the call.

The successful candidate will be a proven phone closer who can confidently handle objections, move buyers up from Level 2 to Level 3 when the property calls for it, and follow up every quote until it is booked or dead.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Conversion and Closing

• Call UK buyers who have just had an offer accepted and asked for a survey quote.
  

• Work out which level of survey their property needs.
  

• Close the booking on the call wherever possible.
  

• Convert survey enquiries and quotes into confirmed bookings.
  

• Follow up every quote until it is booked or dead.
  

2. Survey Recommendations and Upselling

• Sell RICS Level 2 (HomeBuyer) Surveys for standard, modern homes in reasonable condition.
  

• Sell RICS Level 3 (Building) Surveys for older, larger, altered or run-down homes.
  

• Move buyers up from Level 2 to Level 3 when the property calls for it.
  

• Explain the differences between the two survey levels and help buyers understand which option is appropriate for their property.
  

3. Objection Handling

• Handle the big objections, including:
  

  • "My mortgage valuation covers it."
    

  • "It's too expensive."
    

  • "I'll shop around."
    

• Confidently communicate the value of a professional home survey.
  

• Address customer concerns and work towards securing the booking.
  

4. Follow-Up and Sales Performance

• Follow up on outstanding quotes consistently until they are booked or dead.
  

• Maintain momentum with prospective customers and avoid losing potential bookings through poor follow-up.
  

• Work towards agreed sales targets and demonstrate strong closing performance.

Essential Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a proven phone closer.
  

• A track record of strong sales performance, ideally ranking at the top of a sales leaderboard, with the numbers to prove it.
  

• Fluent, confident English, with the ability to communicate in a way that UK buyers trust.
  

• Strong objection-handling and closing skills.
  

• The ability to convert quotes into confirmed bookings over the phone.
  

• Confidence recommending the appropriate survey level and upselling from Level 2 to Level 3 when the property calls for it.
  

• A reliable internet connection, laptop, headset and quiet working space.
  

• The ability to work remotely from South Africa while calling UK customers.
  

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working on UK sales campaigns.
  

• Previous experience selling property-related services or other professional services over the phone.
  

• Experience consistently achieving sales targets and converting warm leads.
