(Remote) Public Policy & Government Relations Lead / Coordinator

We are seeking a Public Policy & Government Relations Lead / Coordinator - Brazil to join Foggo Entertainment and support our operations in Brazil. This role will focus on government relations, public policy, and external stakeholder engagement across the local, state, and federal levels.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, regulators, government representatives, industry associations, and other key external stakeholders, while supporting Foggo’s business and policy priorities in Brazil.

This is a field-facing role that requires a strong understanding of the Brazilian public policy and regulatory landscape, as well as availability to travel to Foggo’s headquarters and other locations across Brazil when required.

What You’ll Do

• Government Relations & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with federal, state, and particularly local government leaders in areas where Foggo operates.
• Public Policy Strategy: Lead and implement public affairs and public policy strategies aligned with Foggo’s business objectives in Brazil.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Assess and communicate potential regulatory and policy risks and opportunities, developing appropriate mitigation strategies and policy positions.
• External Advocacy: Coordinate government outreach, external advocacy programs, and key public policy initiatives.
• Government Support: Provide government relations and public affairs support to Foggo teams to help ensure smooth business operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Business Development, Legal, Compliance, Payments, Finance, and external PR partners.
• External Communications: Effectively communicate the scope, impact, and benefits of Foggo’s investments and operations to external stakeholders at different levels and across different areas of expertise.
• Representation: Represent Foggo in meetings and engagements with government authorities, regulators, industry organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.

Reporting Line & Work Setup

Reports to: Head of Legal, Regulatory, IGR & DPO, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director of Compliance and Institutional Relations.

Work Setup: This is a remote position. However, due to the nature of the role and its focus on government relations, public policy, and engagement with federal authorities and other institutional stakeholders, the position is expected to be based in Brasília, DF. The role also requires availability to travel to Foggo’s headquarters and other locations across Brazil as needed.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Public Policy, Government Relations, Public Affairs, Community Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility, or a related field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development, or a related discipline.

• Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and verbal) required.

• Proven experience in Government Relations and Public Policy within the Brazilian gaming/iGaming sector or another highly regulated industry.

• Strong experience building and managing relationships with government representatives, regulators, industry associations, and other external stakeholders.

• Ability to assess regulatory and policy developments, identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop appropriate policy and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Nice-to-Haves (Advantages)

• Spanish language proficiency.
• Master’s degree or above in a relevant discipline.
• Strong track record of building and managing coalitions with industry associations, think tanks, advocacy organizations, or similar stakeholders in Brazil and Latin America.
• Experience working across local, state, and federal government levels in Brazil.
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and regulatory requirements.
